Evangelism, health seminar and empowerment characterized the 2024 Iwere’le Crusade with evidence of the power of God in demonstration more than ever before.
This year's crusade, which started on Monday, September 2nd, 2024 and convened by the Superintendent of CAC Peaceland District, Odi-Olowo DCC, Lagos, Pastor F.A. Oke, was a blend of spiritual, health, and financial guidance to the local community.
In his welcome address on the opening day, Pastor Oke elaborated on the theme, "Roaring Waters Be Still" stating that "this year's message, borne out of a vision from God, is a call for peace and tranquility amidst adversity."
Reflecting on the previous year's prayers against banditry and kidnappings, Pastor Oke highlighted how God's grace had shielded the communities, affirming that, "we believe that just as Jesus calmed the turbulent waters, He will bring peace to our communities."
He underscored the theme's encouragement to trust in God's sovereignty, emphasizing that "in the face of adversity, we are reminded of God's omnipresence and control over all things."
The Revivalist, Prophet E.O. Olayiwola delivered daily prophetic ministrations, bringing messages of divine guidance and reassurance to the attendees.
A key component of the crusade was the seminar held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Iwere-Ile. The seminar included sessions on health and wealth creation, led by the Superintendent of CAC Odi-Olowo DCC, Pastor D.O. Ogungbenjo, and Pastor S.O. Ogundare prespectively.
Pastor Ogungbenjo addressed the attendees on the importance of a healthy lifestyle stating that "drinking adequate water, breathing fresh air, and incorporating fruits and vegetables into our diet are fundamental to healthy living."
He elaborated on the significance of hydration, fresh air, and a balanced diet.
According to him, “Our bodies are composed of approximately 70% water. Adequate hydration supports digestion, nutrient absorption, and even cognitive function.” He also emphasized the benefits of fresh air and a diet rich in fruits and vegetables for overall health.
Pastor Ogundare's wealth creation talk focused on enhancing financial stability. He encouraged participants to cut out intermediaries and connect directly with end users, explaining that “By bypassing middlemen, you can maximize your profits and ensure that your goods reach consumers efficiently."
Pastor Ogundare also highlighted the value of maximizing natural resources and effective preservation techniques. He advised that, “Transform potential waste into valuable assets, ensuring your business remains resilient and profitable."
The Convener, Pastor Oke expressed his gratitude to all attendees and speakers at the end of the seminar, noting that “I am deeply appreciative of everyone who joined us today and contributed to making this event a success."
He extended special thanks to the Christian Association of Nigeria (C.A.N), Iwere’le chapter, for their support.
“It is through such collective efforts that we can achieve our goals for personal and communal growth,” he added.
The crusade concluded on September 6, 2024, with a vigil titled 'Night of Twelve Prophets,' where twelve prophets ministered prophetically, adding a powerful conclusion to the week’s events. The evening was further enriched by a stirring ministration from gospel artist Mo Precious, who ministered in song, uplifting the spirits of all present.
