The General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, has urged children teachers in the church to cherish and utilize the divine grace bestowed upon them.
He emphasized that their teaching gift is sacred and should not be taken lightly, considering the consequences.
Pastor Odejobi made this remark last week while ministering on "The Importance of Being a Children Teacher" at the 31st Annual Decentralized Children Workers' Seminar 2024, held at CAC Babalola International Memorial Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
Although children teachers are not financially compensated, Pastor Odejobi assured them that God rewards their efforts abundantly, with something greater than monetary payment awaiting them.
He stressed that children teachers play a vital role in shaping the next generation and will be held accountable for their work, just like parents and the government.
"You have a critical responsibility to teach the children, and failure to do so will result in consequences. Your work begins immediately after a child's christening and extends beyond the church walls. You must pray for newborns, as every child is a soul added to your class," Pastor Odejobi emphasized.
He encouraged children workers to instill discipline in their students, saying, "God has given you the authority to direct the children in your care. Be courageous and bold in teaching them, even if it means going against their parents' wishes. The children you teach may eventually guide their parents in the ways of the Lord."
Pastor Odejobi concluded his ministration with prayers for those seeking the fruit of the womb and those facing challenges with their children.
