The newly appointed Regional Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Medaiyese Region, Pastor Gabriel Aboderin on Saturday January 6, 2024 assumed office as the 3rd Regional Superintendent of the  Region.

Pastor Aboderin who was welcome with a special Welcome Service attended by senior pastors, officers and members of Medaiyese region at the regional headquarters, CAC Garki, Abuja, pledged to work with all in love and peace.

The Cleric said that the church of God would be doing a great disservice to itself if there's no peace and love in its fold.

Taking his remarks from 1 Corinthians 13: 8, the Clergyman urged all leaders and members of CAC in the region to operate in spirit of love and peace.

“I have brought you two important things – Peace and love. I want to enjoy all of us to operate there in the spirit of love.Father in the house, all the members of the household of God, the best way we can enjoy the goodness of work together is to invite the spirit of love.

“Every other thing can fail, but love never fails. And if you can create time, you read through the book of the First Corinthians, chapter 13. You are going to see the attitude of love there.By the grace of God, I want to carryout my duty here in the spirit of love.

“When we are speaking about love, it is not speaking of the absence of discipline. We are going to discipline one another in love. We are going to pray together in love. We are going to do our things together in love and discipline. Discipline one another does not mean there is no love.

“The second one is peace. The attitude of peace is that anybody who wants to enjoy peace must prepare for war,” he said.

Pastor Aboderin added that it was not the best description of the church to say that there is no quarrel in church, as the Bible task us to “fight a good fight of faith”.

He pledged that by the grace of God there would be revival in all districts, zones and assemblies in the region during his tenure.

In his welcome remarks, the Regional Secretary, Pastor Gabriel Imoukhuede, commended Pastor Aboderin for harking to the directive of the authority of the church, on his transfer from CAC Tampa Bay, Florida, Central DCC in the United States of America.

“I extend heartfelt greetings and salute the courage embodied by Pastor Aboderin as he takes on this leadership role. Stepping into such a position requires immense faith, and we appreciate his commitment to the principles of authority as exemplified in his obedience to the Christ Apostolic Church and its leadership.

“Drawing inspiration from Romans 13:1, we acknowledge the importance of obedience to authority, setting the tone for our recognition of Pastor Aboderin’s dedication to this principle,” he said.

While encouraging Aboderin to build on the success of his predecessors, Pastor Imoukhuede said that the church under his watch anticipated a blend of evangelism, administration, and revival.

“Your presence here is a testament to divine guidance and protection. Since Pastor Aboderin’s posting to our region, we, under the leadership of his predecessor, Pastor Osita Collins Chukwuezie, have continuously prayed for him, recognizing the responsibilities and challenges that come with leading God’s people.

“Acknowledging our esteemed predecessors, we pay tribute to the impactful work of the pioneer Regional Superintendent, Pastor Godwin  Osuigbo, and the second Regional Superintendent, Pastor Colins Chukwuezie, a man of wisdom, administration, and stability.

“Their contributions have left an indelible mark on our region. Our region, with its unique makeup, requires us to move forward, building upon the unity and administrative cohesion fostered by Pastor Osita Collins Chukwuezie. His 53 years of ministry experience played a crucial role in dismantling invisible barriers and promoting unity in diversity,” he said.
