In a joyous and spiritually charged atmosphere, Christ Apostolic Church Victory Land, Calvary Zonal Headquarters, GRA Ikeja, Lagos celebrated a momentous two-in-one service on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

The event marked the induction of Pastor & Mrs. I.D.O Akinpelu as the new Zonal Superintendent of Victory Land Zone, and also the Harvest Thanksgiving Service of Victory Land Zonal Headquarters, with the theme "Season of Bumper Harvest," inspired by Leviticus 26 vs. 3-5.

The Akilling Regional Superintendent, Pastor E.A Olusoko, who performed the induction rites said, "it pleases the Lord and the Authorities of the church to induct Pastor I.D.O Akinpelu over Victory Land Calvary Zone today the 3rd of December 2023 to care for the church, to teach, and to feed in accordance to his talent as its shepherd."

The Director of Missions & Chairman Board of Mission, CAC Nigeria & Overseas, Pastor C.S Fasuyi, who delivered the sermon on the topic "Season of Bumper Harvest" emphasized the spiritual principles underlying a bountiful harvest.

Urging the congregation to understand that for a harvest to manifest, there must be a prior season of planting, Pastor Fasuyi stressed the importance of having a clear vision of the expected harvest, asserting that merely desiring a harvest without spiritual foresight would not yield results.

He went on to highlight the significance of eliminating doubt and cultivating unwavering belief in God to access the promised harvest.

Speaking to the congregation, the cleric urged on the need to obey all the commandments of God for His promises to be fulfilled in their lives, adding that, "God's love is unconditional, but His promises are conditional."

"This promise of ‘Bumper Harvest’ extends beyond agriculture; it speaks to the abundant blessings that God provides to those who walk in obedience to His Word. The 'season of bumper harvest' is a metaphor for the overflowing goodness and favor that God pours out on those who remain steadfast in their faith. Leviticus 26:3-4 (NIV) says, if you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit," he said.

He passionately charged the attendees to embrace the new Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Akinpelu, and support his ministry with full cooperation.

Another highlight of the event was the commissioning of the new Conference/Board room. The Anniversary committee chairperson, Deaconess Elizabeth Obanla while handing the keys to the conference room to the Zonal Superintendent, gave thanks to God who enabled the church within the few months of his posting to start and complete the project.

According to her, “this is a good sign that your (Pastor Akinpelu) tenure will be full of great accomplishments."

Notable among the dignitaries present were the wife of the General Superintendent of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Mrs. Marian Odejobi, Coordinator, Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary, Ile Ife, Lagos Campus, and Chairman of CAC Press, Pastor F.A Olaniyi; Akiling Regional Secretary, Pastor S.A.O Fadipe; Superintendent of Pleasure DCC, Pastor T.A.K Afolabi; Superintendent of Chapel of Testimony District, Pastor Bunmi Babatunde; Superintendent of Ilupeju District, Pastor J. Atolagbe; Superintendent of Lekki District, Pastor J. Adeyanju; and Superintendent of His Fame House District, Pastor S. Adegboyega.
