Happy birthday to General Secretary, CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Mapur

One of the pride of Christ Apostolic Church is that we have quintessential leaders in all segments of organizational structure.

Administratively, CAC Nigeria and Overseas had produced leaders who have enviable track records and are being seen as a standard in so many denominations.

One of such leaders Christ Apostolic Church can be proud of is the incumbent General Secretary of the mission, Pastor Emmanuel Ezekiel Mapur who happens to be the celebrant of today.

His Biography

He was born on 12th December, 1966 into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ezekiel Mapur at Bot village, Bokkos, Plateau State.

He attended Local Education Authority Primary School, Bot, Bokkos between 1974 and 1980; CAC College (formerly Gospel Bible Training School), Kuba from 1981 to 1983; United Faith Tabernacle College, Jarawan-Kogi, Plateau State from 1983 to 1986; Ahmadu Belo University, Zaria where he obtained Diploma in Christian Religious Education (2004-2005), Bachelor of Arts in Theology (2007-2008). He also attended Jos ECWA Theological Seminary where he obtained a Master of Arts in Education in 2013.

He was called to the ministry in 1988 and started working as a Teacher (Evangelist) at CAC Wamat, Bokkos. He attended CAC Theological Seminary, Enugu between 1988 and 1991. He was ordained a Pastor in Christ Apostolic Church in 1993.

He worked as Hausa Translator at CAC Sunday School Department between 1991 and 1999. He was then posted to CAC General Secretariat as Special Assistant to General Secretary in 1999 and was there till 2003. He was posted to Jos as a pioneering Zonal Officer (Jos Zone) comprising Plateau, Gombe, Adamawa and Taraba States between 2003 and 2008; CAC Kuba as second Zonal Chairman and 1st DCC Chairman between 2008 and 2011; Jos DCC.

Pastor Mapur was given Doctor of Humanities Honoris Causa by Commonwealth University with Citation of the degree of Doctor of Humanities in United Arab Emirate (UAE).

He is an Ambassador of Peace conferred on him by the International Decade for Peace and Non-Violence and UN Millennium Development Goals and UNESCO Culture of Peace Project on Saturday December 12, 2015 at the Presidential Hotel, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

On Friday, January 22, 2016, he was presented a Pillar of Exemplary Leadership Award for his selfless contribution towards Nigerian projects by the Chairman Advisory Board Trustees of Leadership and Role Model Foundation of Nigeria.

Also, on Thursday, August 17, 2017, Oyo State Government through the Executive Governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi gave him a “Justice of the Peace of Oyo State of Nigeria” at Government House, Ibadan, Oyo State.

In May 2018 he was formally inducted as a member of Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD). NITAD is a professional body of Human Resource Development (HRD) practitioners in Nigeria established to promote the science and practice of training and development nationwide.
