In an atmosphere filled with joy and gratitude to God, the Choir of Christ Apostolic Church, Mount of Blessing, Yaba DCC Headquarters, Lagos, hosted a 2023 "Choir Feast Dinner and Award Night" on Saturday, 23rd December, 2023.
The event, organized by the esteemed choir led by Elder S.K.O Annan, was a resounding success as it celebrated and honored some of its members and individuals who have supported the choir over the past year.
The choir, an affiliate of the Royal School of Church Music, England, held the dinner also to express appreciation and honor outstanding contributors to the success of their activities throughout the year.
The evening saw the recognition of key individuals, including the CAC Yaba DCC Superintendent, Pastor S.E.A. Oludare; and the esteemed choir patrons and patronesses who have been pillars of support for the choir; among them are Pastor Sola Ajidagba, Pastor Wale Aderibigbe, Elder Ogunbode, Elder M.O Omotosho, Elder F.O Shoboyede, Deaconess Funmi Osinoiki, Deaconess G.O Idowu, Deaconess Eunice Shoneye, and Deaconess Adesanya.
A total of 56 awards were presented, with categories ranging from the longest-serving chorister to the most improved chorister, both in male and female categories.
Other presentations include awards for the best soprano, alto, tenor, and bass singers, as well as the most punctual chorister and the best-dressed chorister.
The highlight of the evening, which met with a resounding applause, was the presentation of a prestigious trophy to the best part of the year, claimed by the alto section.
Among the notable figures that joined the choir to express gratitude and praise to God for a wonderful and glorious year 2023 were the C.A.C Yaba DCC Superintendent, Pastor S.E.A Oludare; Minister-in-charge of CAC Mount of Blessing (English Assembly) Yaba DCC Headquarters, Pastor Abraham Akinsokeji; Music Director of CAC Akinyele Region, Elder Bidemi Oyesanya S.A.N, ably represented by the CAC Akinyele Regional Choir Secretary, Elder Jerry Awofodun; Elder Charles Amudipe; Dr Tolu Owoaje, Maestro Seun Owoaje; and Master of Music, Christ Church Cathedral, Marina, Maestro Adejola Adeosun.
