Sound doctrine promotes, encourages individuals to pursue excellence as reflection of God's character, says Pastor Oluwasanmi at Abuja Conference center

"Sound understanding of biblical doctrine empowers, and serves as a catalyst for excellent performance in life; it provides us with a solid foundation for growth and development in all areas of our lives. Sound doctrine promotes excellence in all areas of life because it encourages individuals to pursue excellence as a reflection of God's character," were the introductory remarks of the Chaplain, Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State, Pastor Johnson O. Oluwasanmi.

The cleric emphasized that sound doctrine contributes to success in all areas of life while delivering a lecture titled "Sound Doctrine: Catalyst for Excellent Performance in all Spheres of Life" at the just concluded CAC International Youth Conference, Abuja Conference center.

According to him, sound biblical doctrine guides individuals to excellence in their endeavours in several ways which are through, clarity of purpose, moral guidance, spiritual strength, wisdom and discernment.

"The biblical view of excellent performance in life involves giving our best effort, being faithful and consistent, serving others, maintaining humble attitude, and pursuing God's will for our lives. By doing so, we can honour God with our lives and make a positive impact on the world around us," he said.

Speaking on biblical principles of excellent performance in all areas of life, Pastor Oluwasanmi expressed that "sound doctrine, teaching, and principles are the bank of God's provision for us to know and harness all things that God has given to us for life and godliness."

He continued by enlisting few among the godly principles for excellent performance in all areas of life as, diligence, integrity, wisdom, perseverance, continuous learning, and service, adding that sound doctrine can impact and transform individuals through personal character, relationships, ministry and leadership, work and career, finances, health and wellness and community engagement.

According to him, "Christians can strategically influence and contribute to the transformation of societal culture and the advancement of the kingdom of God in the spheres of society."

Pastor Oluwasanmi cited Joseph's exhibition of exceptional administrative skills, Daniel's educational and intellectual engagement, David's use of his musical gift, Bezalel and Oholiab's artisanship, Isaac's instance of being a businessman, King Josiah's religious reforms and Phillip's exemplary excellence in family life, as biblical examples of individuals who were influenced by sound doctrine and who demonstrated excellent performance in the highlighted sphere of life.

In his conclusion, the JABU Chaplain said that, "by understanding and applying biblical doctrine and principles, you can live a life that is pleasing to God and that brings excellence and blessing to all spheres of life. This involves knowing the Lord. Open the Bible, read, study, and meditate to build your life on a solid foundation of biblical doctrine. Think on the word always. Speak the word, act on the word at all times. With the help of the Holy Spirit, you are on stage for an excellent performance in life. This is your inheritance. You have the responsibility to harness and maximize it. Don't fail God."
