The management of Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State has announced the demise of her Chancellor, Pastor Dr. Wemimo Odunaiya at age 84.
In a statement signed by its Registrar, Mr Dapo Adeniyi, the university says: "It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our esteemed Chancellor, Pastor Dr. Wemimo Odunaiya, at a ripe age of 84. On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, we lost a visionary leader, an exceptional educator, and a beloved spiritual guide."
"Pastor Dr. Odunaiya's unwavering commitment to our institution's growth and development has left an indelible mark on our university community. His passion for education, combined with his spiritual wisdom, propelled us to new heights and helped shape our university into the esteemed institution it is today."
