As Christians across the globe celebrate Easter this year, the President, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele has admonished Christians on the need to desire to see Jesus Christ.

Pastor Oladele said this during the Easter Sunday Concert with CAC President held at All Saints Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Ibadan on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

Admonishing Christians from Matthew 28:1-4 on the topic, "The Guards Saw Him Not" Pastor Oladele explained that the guards at Jesus tomb saw angels and the rolled away stone, but didn't see Jesus.

He added that the same thing is applicable to many Christians who come to church for miracles, but never see Jesus.

According to him, it is possible for one to be closed to the altar and be far away from Jesus Christ. He then stated that the best thing that can happen to anyone is to see Him (Jesus Christ).

Speaking on the subject of Christianity as a widely celebrated religion, he said:"Christianity is a religion of celebration; we have so many things to celebrate. Over three months ago we celebrated the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, in the next 40 days some churches will celebrate the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, while some also celebrate the day of pentecost. That Jesus rose from the dead is a widely accepted fact. Even some enemies of Christ believed that He rose from the dead.

"Christ who was given to us want us to know Him as we celebrate," He added.

Pastor Oladele further said that miracles, signs and wonders as good as they are, can't take us to heaven, as the only way to heaven is through salvation.

The Clergyman noted that Christians need to weigh their motives before coming to Christ.

"We need to watch our motives as we come to Jesus, we can witness the outbreak of miracles, but we must ask ourselves when we come to Him, am I looking for miracle or Jesus Christ?" He said.

Pastor Oladele opined that all blessings, prosperity or riches can't exist forever, hence, imploring people to seek to see Jesus.

The service also featured song ministrations from the All Saints Chapel choir.

The choir in their beautiful robe performed some songs which include "More than a Friend" by the Special Assistant to the President, Pastor Tunde Asokeji, "Worthy is the Lamb" by William Gaither, "Wonderful Savior" by J.B. Coats, "How Excellent" by J.F. Handel and many more.

Apart from the President and his wife, Mrs. Susanna Oladele, the service had in attendance the church's Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde, Babalola Regional Superintendent, Pastor J.O. Ogunwuyi, Special Assistant to the President, who also doubles as the All Saints Chapel's Chaplain, Pastor T.D. Asokeji, Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro, Superintendent of Oke-Ado DCC, Ibadan, Pastor G.S. Dada, Superintendent of Agbala-Itura DCC, Ibadan, Pastor O.A. Akinpelu and other annointed ministers of God.
