In the light of and in alignment with one of the tripod visions of the Pastor S. O. Oladele-led administration of Christ Apostolic Church, which is Training and Development; Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary, Main Campus, Ile Ife has organised a two-day intellectual training and workshop for her non-academic staff members.
The programme held at the Ile Ife Campus, began in the early hours of Tuesday, 18th April through Wednesday, 19th April, 2023.
The workshop held for all members of the administrative cadre of the campus and themed "Principles for Understanding and Enhancing Productive and Efficient Systemic Operations" featured interactive sessions, contemporary and systemic topical issues for organisational skills and training by resource persons from relevant fields of knowledge.
In his Welcome Address, the Provost of the Seminary, Pastor Prof. C. O. Oshun welcomed all participants to the auspicious and strategic occasion aimed at producing an effective workforce for the growth of the Seminary into a world-class institution.
He highlighted the three point agenda of the President of the church summarised into Human Resources, Evangelism and Reconciliation; explaining that his vision for the Seminary aligns with the tripod agenda which gave birth to the workshop organised for the non-teaching staff of the Main Campus.
The topics treated at the workshop include, "The Professional Administrators Qualifications, Tools, and Personality" delivered by Dr. E. A. Adereti, Postgraduate Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife; "Management Accounting and its Operational Modalities for an Effective Organisational Planning, Control and Decision Making" delivered by Mrs. O.A. Olufemi, Director, Treasury and System Administration, O.A.U. Ile Ife; "Arranging for Meetings; Types of Meeting, Order of Precedence at Meetings, Time Sequence in Sending out Notices, Minutes Writing, Draft Minutes for Correction, and Implementation of Executive Decisions" delivered by Mr. V. C. Ohalete, Deputy Registrar, Institute of Public Health, OAU, Ile Ife; "Good Time Management: The Hallmark of a Disciplined Administrator" delivered by Mr. J. O. Oyelakin, Deputy Registrar, Central Office of Research, OAU, Ile Ife.
Others are, "ICT: A sine qua non for Efficiency and Effectiveness in a Modern Day Business Organisation" delivered by Mr. B. G. Adeyekun, Retired Director of Computer Centre, OAU, Ile Ife; "Effective Principles for Managing Conflict Situations in a Modern-day Workplace" delivered by Professor Mrs. Sola Akinbobola of Redeemer's University, Ede; "Methods for Quality Information Management: Filing, Numbering, Document Hygiene, Shelving, Retrieving, and Confidentiality for Effective Office/Organisational Operations" delivered by Mrs. I. F. Awotoye, Deputy Registrar, TETFUND Office, OAU, Ile Ife; and "Coping Strategies for Effective Resource Management in Times of Economic Downturn" delivered by Mr. Ariyibi, Deputy Bursar, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji Arakeji.
An interactive Session on "Identifying the Perceived Factors for Projecting the Image of the Seminary for Wider Acceptability" was anchored by, Pastor M.O. Abe, the Coordinator, CACTS, Ile Ife, Kabba Campus.
The workshop, moderated by the Director of Students Affairs of the campus, Pastor Michael A. Adetunji, was well attended by non-academic staff of the Main Campus.
