Pastor Omowaye inducted pioneer Superintendent, as CAC Ephphatha District inaugurated

It was a historical feat for Christ Apostolic Church, Ephphatha District, Mowe, Ogun State on Saturday March 25, 2023 as the District was formally inaugurated and Pastor Joshua Babatope Omowaye inducted as pioneer District Superintendent.

The District, under Anifowose DCC, Lagos, started as an assembly (CAC Fountain of Life) in March, 2010 by the first Superintendent of the then Anifowose Zone (now Anifowose DCC), late Pastor Israel Olusesan Omowaye

The inauguration and induction service was anchored by the DCC Superintendent of Anifowose DCC, Pastor E.S. Olatunji who represented the Church Authority at the well attended service which had in attendance family, friends and well wishers of the pioneer Superintendent, ministers and members of the district.

There were melodious and inspiring song ministrations by the District Choir, Good Women Choir and Children Choir.

After inaugurating the District and inducting the pioneer Superintendent, Pastor Omowaye, DCC Superintendent of Anifowose DCC, Pastor Olatunji ministered on the topic "Genuinely investing into Christ's ministry" with text taken from chapter John 10 verse 17.

He noted that investing in Christ's ministry is for eternal and terrestrial rewards, saying that our sojourn on earth is for a few period and that is why our work for God must be now, not later, adding that we must not procrastinate.

"Jesus Christ invested his life for us, let us also invest everything we have for Him. You must invest your life by giving your life to Christ. Your ministerial exploits amount to nothing without salvation. More than anything, make sure you pursue your salvation. Make sure you make your salvation a perfect one," Pastor Olatunji stated.

He noted that there are three types of call, which are call to repentance, call to service and call to generosity.

The Cleric urged the congregation not to preach denomination to anybody, but preach Jesus Christ.

Pastor Olatunji concluded by imploring the District not to relax in their work for God and commitment to the Church Authority, praying that they will become a Zone very soon in Jesus name.

While delivering the welcome address earlier at the service, the District Secretary of Ephphatha District, Pastor Jethro O. Adeleye said: "history is made every day and we are grateful to God to be part of this history in Christ Apostolic Church. It pleases God through the Authority of the Church and the efforts of our DCC Superintendent, Pastor Olatunji to carve out this District Ephphatha District from Oke Anu Anifowose District. Ephphatha District seated at Plot 15, Ife-Oluwa Estate Road, Adesan, Mowe, Ogun State is blessed to be part of this innovation. The Church is marching on and the gate of hell cannot prevail against it.

"Our life indeed as they said and confirmed by the scripture is according to divine predestination. We are happy that our lot falls on the favorable part of such predetermined arrangements. All of us here today are blessed to take part in the bigger purpose of God for our founding fathers as a small prayer group in Ijebu-Ode and later became a globally recognized mission through the renown 1930 revival At Oke Oye, llesa, Osun State."

According to him, Ephphatha District is a baby that must be spiritually, financially, administratively and carefully nursed unto maturity with their continued support.

Conclusively, he said: "we believe the end time revival can start with us as we make decisions and choices for this District. In all, let God be honoured and his name glorified in and through our actions. We are the light bearers and we should keep the flag of this District flying that they may say concerning us that we have done our part."
