As Nigerians brace up for the 2023 general elections, Christians have been urged not to only pray, but also vote on election days.

The Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Achievers Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Kwara State, Prophet S.O. Olukosi said this on Thursday, 16th February, 2023 while praying for Nigeria at the 2023 Odo Owa Annual Revival at Babalola Mountain, Odo Owa, Kwara State.

He further urged Christians to vote for the person that will uphold the purpose of God for Nigeria, saying that God owns Nigeria and He will determine the outcome of the elections.

"Prayer is not enough, go and vote. As a citizen of Nigeria, go and vote for the person that will uphold the purpose of God for Nigeria.Don't sleep at home on election day. Go out and perform your civic responsibility. God owns Nigeria and He will determine the outcome," he said.

Prophet Olukosi said in past elections, many candidates used money to buy vote, imploring Christians not to sell their votes.

He added that, "anyone who gives you #10,000 or any amount is telling you that is what you will spend for four years."

Prophet Olukosi powerfully prayed that God should waste the money of anyone who plans to use money to buy votes during the elections.

The Cleric while praying for a new Nigeria said if there can be a New York and New Delhi, there shall be a new Nigeria.
