The General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji has said surrendering one's life to Jesus Christ is the major requirement for anyone who wants Holy Spirit anointing.
Prophet Hezekiah stated this on Saturday January 21, 2023 while ministering at the annual anointing service organised by Christ Apostolic Church, Prayer Embassy District headquarters, Ayekale, Osogbo, Osun State. The theme of this year's anointing service (11th edition) is "Anointing for Higher Ground."
The renowned Prophet of God told the congregation: "surrender your life to Jesus, He owns all what you're looking for. I found myself in government house one day, I asked myself what brought me, and God told me it's He."
He also urged Christians to live a life of godliness, which according to him is a life God loves.
The District Superintendent of CAC Prayer Embassy District, Prophet Adeyinka Adesoji disclosed that he was in Italy in the year 2011 when God told him to start the anointing service, saying that God told him He wants to be using the service to liberate people's lives.
On the outcome of previous editions of the programme, Prophet Adesoji said "there have been a lot of testimonies. One woman who has been barren for 33 years testified at this year's edition what the Lord has done for her which is a bouncing baby girl. And there are many greater testimonies on yearly basis. About two years ago one woman conceived and delivered a baby boy at the age of 63. We thank God for what He's doing in the anointing service and I believe He will do more than He did this year and previous years in next year's edition."
On the meaning of anointing, the Clergyman said anointing is a special enablement from God and if you're anointed you will be able to do some things that people can't do.
According to him, you can't be anointed if you are not born again.
He added that "after being born again, the next thing that will follow is anointing. God will not anoint you with your dirty life. It's until you're born again that you can be anointed."
Prophet Adesoji said anointing is for liberation and to preach the gospel, saying it is for the expansion of the Gospel and miracles.
Apart from Prophet Hezekiah and Prophet Adesoji who ministered, the Minister in Charge of Christ Apostolic Church Goshen Land, Prophet Adefemi Dairo also ministered at the programme.
