The Authorities of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, have inducted Pastor Dr. A. A. Balogun as the District Superintendent (D.S) of Ring Road District.
Along with the induction was the appointment of Elders and Deaconesses by the Church Authority represented by the Orekoya Region and Jos DCC Superintendent Pastor C.S.A. Balogun, at the service held on the 20th of October 2022, at Ring Road District Headquarters.
During his sermon, the Orekoya Regional Superintendent strongly admonished the newly inducted D.S. and appointed Elders and Deaconesses to be transparent in their duties.
He urged them to love and fear God, for that will aid them to shun evil and do the will of God and depend on Him solely.
He went further to encourage the newly appointed Elders and Deaconesses to see to the growth of the church numerically.
According to him, it is our responsibility as members of the body of Christ to minister to lost souls about Christ, but it is the duty of God to change the heart of men, for no man can change the heart of a fellow man, except God intervenes and touches the heart of the fellow.
He concluded by challenging the members of the church to make their work easy by giving them the necessary cooperation needed to move the church forward.
District Superintendents under Jos DCC and other dignitaries were present to witness the induction and also to congratulate the newly inducted DS.
A BRIEF PROFILE OF PASTOR DR. A.A. BALOGUN
Pastor Adesoji Abel Balogun was born some years back into the family of Pastor C.S.A and late Mrs P.H.O. Balogun, who is now the current Orekoya Regional and Jos Superintendent. He hails from Ikoyi Ijumu of Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State. He is the first of four (4) children.
He attended Jofal Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Ife-City College, Idita Comprehensive High school. Furthermore he backed his Dip. BS, (WBS, Norway) 2002; B.R.Ed (Hons) in CINDICO, 2004; P.G.D Ed. (EKSU), 2006; M.A. Chr.Ed. (UMCA, Ilorin), 2009; D.Min Chr.Ed. (UMCA, Ilorin). He travelled out to Stellenborch University, Cape Town, South Africa in 2013 for his D.Min research. He also travelled out for his doctorate research.
To his credit, he belong to different Academic Associations such as NACS, ICHE, BAJOR, CAJORBAT, ICLARS. He has written 10 publishable works in different journal. Through his associations, apart from Nigeria, he has been to Sierra Leone, The Republic of Benin, Ghana and South Africa.
He taught in Iwaraja High school, Osun state in 2004, lectured Sandwish Students in CACTS, Ile-Ife, 2004; lectured part-time students in Ekiti State University 2006 under late Prof. Smith Adegoroye. He also taught as a full-time lecturer in CACTS, Ile-Ife 2008-2011. He was transferred to CACTS, BSPE Ilesha, where he lectured from 2011-2019. He was presented paper in different conferences and refresher courses. He was also appointed as coordinators to different Units, once an HOD and Asst. Dean of Academics.
Upon his ordination in 2002, he has served as pioneering Pastor Chapel Of Mercy (English Assembly), Ijebu-ijesha, 2013-2019, Visiting Pastor to RCCG, Ijebu-ijesha 2012-2013. He was later posted out with promotion to Lagos where he served as the 6th District superintendents in Dillion District Headquarters, under Ajeromi DCC from April 2019 to June 2022. Thereafter, transferred to Ring Road District Headquarters under Jos DCC where he is currently serving as the 4th District Superintendent, 2022 till date.
