Sunday, 11th December, 2022 was a memorable day in the history of Christ Apostolic Church, Hosanna Chapel, Life and Power Zonal Headquarters, Ikorodu, Lagos as the church marked her 27th anniversary thanksgiving in grand style.

The church anniversary and thanksgiving service themed "Cross over your Jordan" and the text taken from Joshua 1:2, featured special renditions from the host choir, a.k.a Hossana voices; Divine fountain District Choir, Pentecostal District Choir, Children choir; Good Women Choir; Children choreography and Holistic College presentation.

In the same vein, award of honor was given by the Zonal Superintendent, Life and Power Zone, Pastor Mich T. Oladapo to a first class graduate at The Nigerian Law School, Miss Olutoye Blessing.

Pastor Oladapo also announced the dedication of the new choir robes, set of speakers and ministers chairs.

Speaking on the theme of the anniversary, "Crossing over your Jordan" the Clergyman said that the crossing of the Israelites over the Jordan river in the dry land was of tremendous significance to the Israelites.

He continued by saying crossing the Jordan is a turning point on the way to freedom.

Pastor Oladapo added that; "the waters of the Jordan represent breakthrough, deliverance and freedom from oppression. It represents transition from old leadership to a new leadership (Moses to Joshua). Also relating the crossing of the Jordan under Joshua to the crossing of the Red sea under the leadership of Moses shows the unchangeableness of God and His power."

He therefore explained the conditions for crossing from death to life.

According to him, demonstration of agape love is a pre-condition to moving from death unto life (1 John 3:14), noting that earing and believing the word of God is another pre-condition.

He stated that when we have total obedience and accepting God's leading through His Spirit will also transit us from wilderness to our promised land.

In his sermon titled "God deserves your Best" and the text taken from Genesis chapter 4 verse 3 to 5, the District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church Pentecostal District, Pastor I. T. Ariyo, expressed that most times when we offer things to God, we give leftovers.

He further explained that; "when we desire things for our lives, we desire the best but when it comes to God, not many of us are connected to the revelation of giving God our best

He also gave out reasons why God deserves our best, saying that the greatest or best gift of life was given to us by God, He gave us His only begotten son, Jesus Christ.

"Giving your best to God means giving your total being (Mark 7:6). It also means to give God first of everything. If you want the best from God, give God the best", he said.

Pastor Ariyo concluded that the best gift you can give God is your heart, as he urged the congregants to give their hearts to Jesus Christ.
