Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Amuwo-Odofin Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Festac town, Lagos, on Friday, 25th November, 2022 held her 2022 Christmas Carol in a unique style.
All ministers of the DCC were present at the programme including the Superintendent, Pastor Joe Jacobs; and Coordinator of Cacyof Amuwo-Odofin DCC, Pastor M.O. Bamise .
The carol service created an immense atmosphere of spiritual exercise, as the host choir, invited ministers and youths from far and near participated in the program tagged "7 Lessons Carol Night."
The church was decorated with Christmas lights, adding more beauty to the auditorium as members danced and worshipped Christ the King with the aura of Christmas songs being the highlights of the day.
While ministering at the program, the Superintendent Amuwo-Odofin DCC, Pastor Joe Jacobs said there is no one on earth like Jesus who came to taste pain, suffering, tribulation and death as He is indeed a friend and companion.
He added that, "Jesus also was nursed by a mother, grew up like you and I, was helped by people, felt hunger and thirst too. We have the highest level of deception, craftiness and wickedness in the world we live in today, your only trust should be in Jesus because He knows and sees all."
Pastor Jacobs who minstered on the topic "A Child Is Born, A Son Is Given" said, "Jesus came in human form so as to feel everything we could ever imagine as human. No matter what you may be going through, He has also gone through it, so He understands and cares for us."
"Jesus is the best gift you can ever wish for. So many people just celebrate the birth of Jesus but most are yet to see and know who Jesus is so as to fully benefit from all the goodies attached to His name," he said.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by the Coordinator, Cacyof, Amuwo-Odofin DCC, after which everyone gave their special offering and danced before the Lord.
According to Pastor Bamise in his vote of thanks, "no matter the challenges, physical and spiritual tribulations can be handled by Jesus. All you need to do is to accept him into your life, put your trust in him and tell it all to Jesus, He never fails."
