The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, alongside other Principal Officers of the Church have received awards of honour at the 2022 Nigerian Association of Christian Studies' Conference on November 1, 2022 held at CACTS Main Campus, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The National Association of Christian Studies (NACS) had presented the awards of honour as Grand Patron in recognition of his leadership role in the growth and development of Christianity to the CAC President, Pastor Oladele; the General Superintendent, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi; the General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji; General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur; Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde; and Missions Director, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi.

Pastor Oladele, alongside other awardees, had individually acknowledged the awards, commending the association for her great feat in the Christian academic world.

In his Opening speech, the CAC President, had lauded the Association as "being a platform for Professors, Lecturers in Universities and Theological Institutions and Scholars of Christian Studies, considered a source of credible information with regards to matters that bother on Christian Studies."

According to him, "the outcome of your 2016 conference proceedings titled, "Christianity and Persecution in the contemporary world", becomes more meaningful and apt in the light of recent happenings in Nigeria."

"Christians are not only being persecuted but taken for granted. More sobering is the fact that many Christians are divided on what steps to take. Moreover, as we approach the 2023 General Elections in Nigeria, there is need for us to be pragmatic in charting the right course to take in order to make the Kingdom of God count," he said.

Speaking to the academic theologians, Pastor Oladele expressed the "need for kingdom-ambassadors like Joseph, Daniel, Esther, Isaiah and Paul, among others," he added that, "the Church being the ground and pillar of Truth, must rise up to the greatest challenge of our day which is to defend the faith which was once delivered unto us."

Wishing the participants a productive conference, the CAC President posited that, "for people to become free, they have to know the Truth. However, the responsibility to make the Truth known, both in the Church and to the world, remains ours as well as yours."
