The Zonal Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Strong Tower Zone, Babalola Region, Pastor J. Olu Oluwaniyi buried his mother, Deaconess Ruth Aderonke Awoniyi (Mama Ijo CAC No. 3 Oluwatedo Olu Ele Ede) who died on Monday 3rd of October, 2022. She was buried on Wednesday October 3, 2022.
At the funeral service, the District Superintendent of CAC No 3 Oluwatedo Ede, Pastor Moses Olugbenga Okikiola delivered a sermon on the topic "The Pursuit of the Wise."
"Many today pursue the perishable things of the world like houses, cars, money, positions etc., all these will vanish and perish one day, but the only thing that stays for life is the struggle for what God wants us to be and His resemblance in all manners," the Cleric said.
He urged people to learn to do God's will, pursue good name and the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Okikiola said the late Mrs. Awoniyi pursued the Kingdom of God wholeheartedly and left behind a good legacy.
In his remarks, the DCC Superintendent of CAC Ede DCC, Pastor Olaomo said blessed is the womb of the late Iya Ijo as she produced five children who are Ministers of God.
The late icon passed on to glory at the age of 110 years and she is survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren including; Pastor Titus Oluwaniyi, Lady Evang Comfort Akanfe, Pastor J.Olu Oluwaniyi Zonal Superintendent Strong Tower Zone, Evang. (Mrs.) Dorcas Owodunni, Evang. (Mrs.) Rebecca Adurodola.
