It was a day of unlimited joy and love at its peak when the journey of courtship which started six years ago ended in tying of the knot between Oluwadamilola Joanna and Oluwasegun Ezekiel on Saturday July 30, 2022.
The glamorous wedding ceremony was held at Christ Abundant Power Apostolic Church, Ita-Sanni, Ogijo, Ogun State.
Oluwadamilola Joanna and Oluwasegun Ezekiel both served as executives at CAC Youth Fellowship, Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), now Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu. While Joanna served as the Financial Secretary and Sisters Coordinators (during her ND & HND programme), Ezekiel served as Prayer Coordinator/Drama Coordinator and Fellowship President (during his ND & HND programme).
While ministering at the programme on the topic "Seven keys to Successful Marriage", the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Mowe Zone, Pastor M.A.O. Ajetunmobi urged the new couple to allow God, who is the founder of marriage to reign in their marriage.
He further urged the couple to renew their marriage oil always by calling upon Christ at all times.
Pastor Ajetunmobi further implored them to help each other, saying to the husband that women are not slaves and completion comes to a man when he gets married.
The Cleric also told the couple that humility is important in marriage, citing the book of Ephesians chapter 5 verse 22 to 23 which says 'Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.'
Oluwadamilola Joanna and Oluwasegun Ezekiel were also counselled by Pastor Ajetunmobi to always buy gifts for each other.
The Clergyman further stressed the need for the couple to always forgive each other and always be together.
The programme had in attendance some members of the alumni and members of CACYOF LASUSTECH, and also the Supervising Pastor of the fellowship, who is also the Assistant Regional Youth Coordinator of Akinyele Region, Pastor I. T. Ariyo.
