In his Sermon titled "Repentance from Sin", the Regional Superintendent, Pastor S. A. Adedayo, lamented that the topic of repentance is being detested by the present generation, describing it as the act of "turning from old and bad ways unto God."

"Where there is true repentance, there will be godly sorrow and total surrender to God for service," he said.

Alluding Biblical preachers of repentance, Noah as a righteous preacher (Gen. 6:9; 2 Pet. 2), John the Baptist (Mat. 3:1,2), Jesus' public ministry (Mat. 4:17), the Apostles (Acts 3:10), Pastor Adedayo highlighted various recurrent ills to repent from, they are, "Bribe before assisting people. Requesting for sex before helping a lady. Fraud. Evil commitment. Hatred of one’s neighbor.  Lying and bearing False witness. Drunkenness. Stealing. Unbiblical living. Cheating. Embezzlement. Defrauding one’s partner – infidelity. Failure to pay Tithes. Kidnapping," amongst others.

He emphasized the necessity of repentance because, there is joy for repentance (Lk. 15:10) and that the kingdom of God is at hand.

After the sermon, the DCC Superintendent, Pastor Oyedeji said the Closing Remark and  appreciation message.
