Another history was made in Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas on Saturday June 11, 2022 when one of the newly created regions, Essien Region was formally inaugurated and Pastor Isaac Olukayode Eyebiokin inducted as pioneer Regional Superintendent.

Essien Region, carved out of the old Akinyele Region was named after late Pastor Essien Gabriel Essien, an Akwa Ibom State indigene  and minister of God in CAC, who was behind the establishment of over 11 Districts Coordinating Councils/Zones in both Cross River and Akwa Ibom States.

At the inauguration service, Late Pastor Essien was honoured posthumously as one of his Children, Pastor Essien, was decorated by the Regional Superintendent of Essien Region, Pastor Eyebiokin.

The service had in attendance  authorities of the church represented by the President, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, General Superintendent, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur and Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde. Wives of Principal Officers in attendance are Mrs. S.K. Oladele, Mrs. Mariam Odejobi and Mrs. Fidelia Mapur, Mrs. Victoria Omitinde and they were happily welcomed by Mrs. Eyebiokin, wife of Pastor Eyebiokin.

While preaching on the topic, 'The Judgement Seat of Christ', taken from 2 Corinthians 5:10, the President of CAC, Pastor Oladele urged the congregation to remain faithful and continue in the good work in order not to be put to shame but to receive good rewards at the Judgement Seat.

Pastor Oladele outlines 8 points with which God would judge every christian at the Judgement Seat of Christ. He said the Lord will judge us individually and collectively on the way we treat other believers in the church.

The second point is the way we treat God's servants, saying that "obey those who rule over you because they watch over your souls."

The Cleric said that Israel today has descended to the base spiritually because of the way they treated servants of God in the past.

Pastor Oladele further said the Lord will judge us based on the way we use our authority, how you use your talents, how you handle money, how you spend your time, how much you suffer for Christ and how we are able to effectively control our old nature.

He concluded that some great men of God have lost their ministries because of their inabilities to effectively control their old nature.

Pastor Oladele urged the members of CAC in the region, regional executive members and leaders in the region to always pray and support the newly inducted Regional Superintendent in order for him to succeed.

He urged the ministers to be faithful to God, explaining that: "lead the church with love and faithfulness to God and be truthful to the authorities of the church, and also guard against all forms of indiscipline in the church."

In his remarks, the newly inducted Regional Superintendent who has served and excelled in different capacities in the past, Pastor Olu Eyebiokin, expressed his profound gratitude to God and to the church authorities for the appointment and the opportunity to serve God in another capacity.

He promised to be faithful and to expand God's kingdom in the Region through revival and evangelism.

The Regional secretary of CAC Essien region, Pastor David Okusanya said while presenting his welcome address that, "we are indeed very happy today that this epoch-making event is taking place.

"We thank the authorities of the church, headed by our dynamic and seasoned administrator, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, the President, CAC Nigeria and Overseas for the creation of Essien Region, for appointing our father, Pastor Eyebiokin as the pioneer Regional Superintendent and for citing the Regional Headquarters in Abeokuta.
