Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Praise, Akure a church founded under the direction of the Holy Spirit by Late Professor Samuel Babatope Adejuyigbe in year 2002 clocked 20 years in May, 2022.
The church has weathered many storms as the gate of hell cannot stand the propagation of the gospel but God has always been victorious against the wiles of the devil.
In year 2021, a devastating event happened which was the transition of the church planter to glory. To God's glory, God calling his son home did not lead to the termination of his calling on his son. The church waxed stronger. For this reason and many more, the church is grateful as it clocks 20 years.
The event was marked with a week long activity from 23rd May, 2022-29th May, 2022. There was a two day teaching on the Theme of the anniversary which is "Building on the Rock". The spirit enlivening teachings were delivered by Brother Segun Ariyo of Potter's House Christian Mission, Ibadan. There was a prayer meeting as well as a vigil anchored by Pastor Joseph Adeyemo of C.A.C. Jesus Power, Pele, Ondo Town. On Saturday, 28th May, there was a family outing where the church as a family shared gifts amidst themselves and played as one body.
On Sunday, 29th May, which was the grand finale, the Thanksgiving service held to the glory of God. Ministering on the day was Pastor S. Falade, Acting National Sunday School Director, C.A.C Worldwide. In attendance was the Regional Superintendent, Odubanjo Region who appointed by laying on of hands, new Deconesses and Elders in C.A.C. Chapel of Praise and Christ Apostolic Church worldwide.
In attendance was Pastor Dr. Owoyemi from C.A.C. Glory of God and other anointed ministers of God from C.A.C. The media department also honoured some of the church triumphant and also produced a magazine. Copies of the magazines are available for anyone who is interested in having a copy.
