The Director of Missions, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi has said it is not an easy thing to be 60 without the grace of God.
Basking in the euphoria of his 60th birthday today Thursday May 5, 2022, Pastor Fasuyi in an exclusive chat with CAC News was grateful to God, saying he's satisfied with what the Lord has done for him.
"One of things anyone who has not reached age 60 will be begging God for is to reach the age. Being 60 is likened to when someone goes for a journey and he's retuning. It is not an easy thing to be 60 without the grace of God. If I begin to explain what I have experienced in life, I won't be able to say everything. It is the grace of God that gives one strength to reach this stage of life.
"There are many of my age mates who are gone. I thank God for my sound health. To the best of my knowledge, it was only once I slept in the hospital since the last 60 years. We are very happy and joyous. It is out of what God provided that made me to attend higher institution. I married, have children and achieved many other things. It is common for people to be looking for job after graduating from school. I must thank God because He provided a job for me immediately I graduated. It is God that has been helping us with our business. We really thank God for His abundant goodness. We testify of His goodness we are enjoying even in our business.
"The most important aspect of my life that I'm happy about is my spiritual growth. God also helped by giving me a wife who is even more spiritual than I am. A wife who is full of the spirit of God and knowledge of God. Her efforts made me to gear-up and she increased my love for the things of the Lord. Though, I have been doing His work since I was young, but not at this level I am presently. Where God has taken me to in the ministry, I never thought I would get there. Some people used to say that they used to be in the world, but I want to emphatically say that I have never been in the world. I have no record of engaging in anything ungodly. I want to appreciate God for where I am today in Christ Apostolic Church which is not by my might or power. It is just His grace," Pastor Fasuyi stated.
According to him, God has helped him to plant many assemblies and the latest one is the Lekki Assembly, adding that there are plans to plant more Assemblies particularly in Ikoyi and Victoria Island, Lagos.
