God is still looking for men that will raise revival of righteousness

Pastor T.D. Asokeji

The maiden edition of the Christ Apostolic Church Pastors' Leadership Retreat (PLR) came to a successful and glorious end on Friday April 30, 2022.

The training programmme which commenced on Monday January 17, 2022 and held at the Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, was organised for senior ministers of the Church, including the President, Principal Officers, Regional Superintendents, National Officers, Coordinators of Seminaries, Districts Co-ordinating Council and Zonal Superintendents.

In his closing remarks, the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor Samuel Olusegun OLADELE, represented by his Special Assistant, Pastor T.D. Asokeji, stated that God is still looking for men who will raise the re-ignite the revival of righteousness in this generation.

Referencing Matthew 5:13-16, he said that God is still looking for men who will be a standard and a voice for Him.

Addressing the batch seven participants who are mainly from Akillins, Babalola and Essien Regions, the President noted that, "as we close this maiden training today, we have successfully trained about 500 Zonal and DCC Superintendents of CAC, who occupy strategic positions in the Church. It is very historic that this is coming to pass in our time.

"You would recall that the revival of 1930 was preceded by the revival of 1918 - which was a revival of the Word - on whose foundation was built the Church which emerged through a group of people from Saint Saviour's Anglican Church, Ijebu-Ode.

These were people who decided to re-ignite the fire of the Holy Spirit as enshrined in the Holy Bible (Acts 2); and who, like Gideon, chose to serve a God that was different from the god of his father (Judges 6). This outpouring of the Holy Spirit was further enhanced by their relationship with brethren of the Faith Tabernacle in Philadelphia, USA. The word of God mixed with consistent prayer birthed the much talked about revival of 1930 that happened in Òkè-Oye in Ilesa. However, it was not only the revival of 1930 that is instructive to the Christ Apostolic Church heritage; there were other revivals in Oke-Bola Ibadan, Lagos, Kano, Warri and all over the country.

"Therefore, this training is in form of a reminder to us that God is still at work if only we are willing to work for God. God is still looking for men who will bring people back to His Kingdom. God is still looking for men who will re-ignite the revival of righteousness. God is still looking for men who will be the salt and light - a Standard and a Voice for Him. The question is, would you be that man?

In the name of God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, we are sending you back to the people of God to raise up the banner of righteousness. To say like Gideon, 'I am going to be that man who will pull down the altar of Baal and bring back the will of God.' To say like David, that 'I am going to defend the name of the God of Christ Apostolic Church whom the Goliath of this world has defied.' To say like Daniel and the three Hebrews, "We are not going to serve the gods of Nebuchadnezzar, we are going to serve the God of our fathers".

Therefore, I want to congratulate you for successfully completing this training and I wish you safe trip back home. Much more importantly, I wish you greater success in your ministry, peace in your homes and the glory of God in the Church."
