The last few days have been filled with different surprise birthday celebrations for the Missions Director of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Caxton S. Fasuyi. One of such great surprises happened on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 when the authority of the church under the leadership of the President, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele gave him another birthday surprise at CAC All Saints' Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Basorun, Ibadan.
The leaders of the Church had held management meeting Tuesday and after the first session of the meeting, they all came to the All Saints' Chapel for refreshment, unknown to Pastor Fasuyi that the President had planned to give him birthday surprise.
Pastor Fasuyi whose 60th birthday was May 5, 2022 was full of surprise when he entered into the chapel and the choir of CAC All Saints welcomed him and the management of the Church with CAC Gospel Hymn 93. No words can best express his overwhelming happiness at the celebration which had in attendance Heads of Departments, Directors etc. It was also a celebration of the 30th Wedding Anniversary of both Pastor and Mrs Caxton Fasuyi. His wife, Mrs. Titilayo Fasuyi was also in attendance.
It would be recalled that his wife gave him a surprise birthday at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church, Ikeja on Friday May 6, 2022.
While ministering at the programme, the Regional Superintendent of CAC Pearce Region, Pastor S.O. Aluko said
those who know how to think will know how to give thanks, saying that as children of God we must know how to appreciate God.
He noted that people who are great in the Bible were people who learnt how to be alone with God, adding that if there is anyone who understood how to thank God, it is David.
Making reference to Psalm 103:1, Pastor Aluko said Pastor Fasuyi's family has chosen to come and bless God for the 60th birthday and 30 years of their marriage.
Digging deep into the life of King David, the Cleric said David, having been in the bush for many years didn't know God was preparing him for something great.
Quoting Psalm 103:2, the Clergyman said "if you think you have become anything by excellence, it is insensibility."
Pastor Aluko challenged Pastor Fasuyi to personally go before the Lord and appreciate Him, saying David did it alone on several occasions.
He also urged the congregation to always give God extravagant praises.
Basking in the euphoria of the celebration, Pastor Fasuyi joyfully said "this is another coup."
He recalled how his children and wife organised a surprise birthday for him last week at Sheraton Hotel and Archbishop Vining Memorial Church, Ikeja, Lagos respectively.
Pastor Fasuyi joyfully prayed for the President that he will continue to experience surprise in his life in Jesus name, urging him to continue in his good deeds.
The Missions Director also appreciated everyone in attendance, all the Principal Officers, all the 15 Regional Superintendents in attendance, Heads of Departments/Directors and his wife.
The President said the grace and there was photographs session after the programmme.
