The DCC Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Kuje Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Pastor I. O. Imhokuede, has highlighted and described the roles of church ministers and their wives as growth agents in the church.

Pastor Imhokuede gave this highlight at the Ministers and Wives' Refresher Course of Gwagwalada DCC held at the DCC headquarters, CAC Mount of Joy on Friday, 11th February, 2022.

Speaking on the topic "Ministers and Spouse as Growth Agents" under the theme "Grow in Grace (2 Peter 3:18)", the Kuje DCC Superintendent laid the foundation of how the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors/Teachers are God's gift to his church and change agents to effect the proclamation of Ephesians 4:12,13 ("the equipping of the saints for the works of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God, to a perfect man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ").

The clergyman who established the role of supportive wives in the ministry stated that, "the wife must give her full support to her husband. The call on her husband's head is also upon her. You are heirs together of the grace of life (1 Peter 3:7)"

Church ministers, according to Pastor Imhokuede, must, "be good managers of resources of all the resources that God has given him; make use of suitable members in the management of the church as human resources; ensure church funds are kept in a bank account which must not be allowed to become dormant."

The cleric also described the area of conflict resolution mechanism where he emphasized that that conflict in the church are inevitable but ministers must resolve them promptly as laid down in the Bible and disciplinary actions should be taken when necessary."

Pastor Imhokuede concluded that, "the ministers of God must as much as possible participate and must be seen to participate meaningfully in all church projects. He must lead by example. This will spur all the members to give themselves fully to any church project. Also there must be accountability when funds are contributed for a certain, they must not be diverted to other projects without carrying members of the church along."

The host minister and Gwagwalada DCC Superintendent, Pastor M. A. Akande, in his welcome address admonished the congregants to grow in grace in line with the theme of the programme, and appreciated the God of all grace "for watching over you and your family and I know he has kept us to witness this new year because he wants us to enjoy his grace more to bear fruit unto him. But we should not take that grace for granted."
