Christ Apostolic Church, Somolu-Olaleye Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC) headquarters, Somolu, Lagos, on Sunday, 12th December, 2021 held its 2021 Christmas Carol in a unique style.

The carol service created a spectacular praise experience and a conducive ambience for spiritual exercises with the arrays of The triumphant voices and other choristers, which involves the Children's Choir and the Good Women's Choir.

For a detailed record, all Ministers, including the Superintendent of CAC Somolu-Olaleye DCC, Pastor J.O. Akinyomi and a good number of the church Elders and Deaconesses were in attendance, as well as the members of the church.

The auditorium was filled with heads in Christmas colours which lighted up the space with the feelings of yuletide. Radiant smiles, laughter, worship praise, dance, and Christmas songs were the highlights of the day.

While ministering at the programme, the Curate Pastor of CAC Somolu-Olaleye DCC headquarters,Pastor Peter Abiodun said Christians are the most luckiest people on earth because we are not serving or worshiping a dead but a living God.

Pastor Peter who ministered on the topic "His Birth Brought Everything To Us", taking his text from the book of Luke chapter 2 verse 10 to 11 said everything about our Lord Jesus Christ is mystery.

He added that;"His birth, ministry, death, resurrection.etc. brought everything needed to all mankind. Those that knows this must celebrate everything about Him than the worldly people."

On what Jesus Christ birth brought to us, the Cleric said Jesus had to be born because of mankind's sin and because God wanted to reveal His own character to humanity.

"Jesus had to be born to remove the sins of mankind through a perfect sacrifice.Jesus had to be born for mankind to have a Mediator.Jesus had to be born for God to make His Spirit available to all humankind.Jesus had to be born for God to redeem mankind. Christ the anointed one also brought good news, peace, hope and everlasting joy," he stated.

According to him, God’s purpose is to give every Christian everything especially peace by being the most glorious person in one's life.

He concluded by stressing that Jesus was called “the God of peace” five times in the New Testament (Romans 15:13; 16 :20; Philippians 4:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 13:20), noting that;"to enjoy peace on earth and to reign with Him eternally you must acknowledge the work of calvary and surrender everything to His lordship."

  1. No theological backing for the word “lucky” in the Bible.
