It was a joyful moment as Christ Apostolic Church Okiki Jesu zone was inaugurated on Sunday November 29, 2021 and Pastor Timothy Olusola Adeyinka was inducted as the pioneer Zonal Superintendent.
The inauguration and induction service was conducted by the DCC Superintendent of Kosofe DCC, Pastor Joshua Miller who represented the Regional Superintendent of CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor Samuel A. Adedayo who was unavailably absent. The DCC Superintendent of Agege DCC, Pastor I. Olu Eyebiokin was also in attendance and was assigned to administer the induction rite and pray for the inductee.
Zonal Secretary of Okiki Jesu zone, Pastor T.O.P. Aboluwarin delivered the welcome address, read the history of the zone and biography of Pastor Adeyinka.
While ministering at the programme, Pastor Eyebiokin admonished the inductee not to use this opportunity as a means of allowing pride and not to feel relaxed because he cannot carryout this task on his own, therefore he needs to pray continually for grace.
He also advised him and his wife Mrs Folake Adeyinka to keep on taking care of the planter's wife who was also present at the event.
DCC Superintendent, CAC Kosofe DCC, Pastor Miller while charging the congregation on the topic, "Authority of a Shepherd and taking the text from Psalm 23 noted that;"authority is the ability, gift, talent and responsibilities of your God's given purpose in life. We all have this authority because everyone that is born of God must have it."
He continued by defining who a leader is saying that a leader is a person that knows the way, shows the way and make sure everyone follows him.
He thereby admonished the congregation not to misuse the authority they have because God will not stop one from using it but one cannot dodge the consequences.
"The most important power of a leader is the power to lead by example. A leader must lead by example because people will not follow what you say, but what you do," he said.
