Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Ibadan Campus on Saturday October 2, 2021 held her 23rd Convocation Ceremony.
Out of the 89 students who graduated from the institution, 35 people graduated from the Certificate programme, 19 from Diploma programme and 35 from Degree programme.
The programme which was held at the premises of the institution in Aperin-Oniyere in Ibadan had in attendance the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele; General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur; Regional Superintendent of CAC Babalola Region, Pastor J.O. Ogunwuyi; Provost, CACTS, Pastor/Professor C.O. Oshun; Chairman of CACTS Governing Council, Pastor E.S. Famuyide; Coordinator, CACTS Ibadan, Pastor C.S.G. Titiloye; Director of Publicity, CAC Worldwide, Pastor Ade Alawode and many others.
The Provost of the seminary, Pastor/Professor C.O. Oshun while delivering his speech urged the graduands to go and serve the world as the repairers of the foundation of many generations, the builders of bridges and restorers of paths to dwell in (Isaiah 58:12).
He told them that they should know that the world is in dire need of the sweetness that transforms life and the illumination that eradicates ignorance, fear and wickedness that is in the world.
"We congratulate all those who have acquitted themselves as excellent students, and hence, worthy ambassadors of this great citadel of knowledge. We equally rejoice with their parents, sponsors and loved ones on this occasion. As you disperse from your alma mater today, we wish you Godspeed and encourage you to be the Salt and Light that Our Master has called us to be," he stated.
He told the returning students that; "we want to advise you on the imperative of serious study and hard work, as these are the concomitants of excellence and greatness in life. You may choose from now on to apply your time and talent profitably in order to become a success story in life and a veritable instrument in God's hands to cause a moral and spiritual among men and women in your generation."
The Coordinator of CACTS, Ibadan, Pastor C.S.G. Titiloye in his word of advice to the graduands said; "my counsel to you as outgoing students is that you are to see yourselves as the chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people who are called-out to show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Therefore, I urge you to live a holy life, preach and live the Word of God, lead by practical examples. When life challenges come, pray fervently, you will surely overcome."
He urged them to respect their senior officers under whom they will serve in the nearest future; obey CAC Authority and leadership and God, the Almighty.
Pastor Titiloye prayed for them that; " your ministry will not malfunction and you will not fall, fail or falter in Jesus' Mighty name."
He appealed to all stakeholders and philanthropists in Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, CAC Authority, most especially, Oyo State Council of DCC and Zonal Superintendents, CAC Babalola Region; Ministers of God, CACMA, Good Women and Youth Fellowship, to kindly support them financially to be able to complete the new auditorium as soon as possible.
He added that; "the reason is not far-fetched, our campus mainly relies on students' school fees for Staff salary payment, capital project execution and other administrative expenditures which is grossly inadequate."
While speaking at the programme, the Chairman of CACTS Governing Council, Pastor E.S. Famuyide used the medium to remind people of the second advent of our Lord Jesus Christ; urging everyone to put away the filthy garments of sin and put on the New Man (Christ Jesus) in order to be partakers of His holy nature here on earth and later to reign with Him in His eternal kingdom here after.
