History was made on Sunday October 24, 2021 when Christ Apostolic Church, Testimony District was inaugurated and former Coordinator of CACYOF Akinyele Region, Pastor George Olubunmi Babatunde was inducted as the pioneer District Superintendent.

The inauguration and induction service was conducted by the Acting Regional Superintendent who doubles as Acting DCC Superintendent of CAC Lagos DCC, Pastor Samuel A. Adedayo.

It was indeed a memorable day of joy and celebration as family, friends and associates of the District and Pastor Babatunde gathered to appreciate God for the new feat.

While ministering at the programme on the topic "Ambassador for Christ", the Acting Regional Superintendent of Akinyele, Pastor Adedayo said an ambassador of Christ must be someone who loves, must be gentle and worthy of being respected, noting that all Christians are Christ's Ambassadors.

He noted that the work given unto us as Christ's ambassadors is the work of reconciliation, to reconcile man to God.

Pastor Adedayo stressed that "we are on pilgrimage on earth, to stand for the heavenly host. We are heavenly citizens irrespective of where we find ourselves on earth. As we are in the world we are not of the world, we are representing a nation and a King."

The Cleric further said Christ's Ambassador must be someone who possesses the word of grace and must be patient and humble.

According to him, if we are Christ's Ambassadors we will win many souls to Christ through our lifestyles.

Commenting on what is expected from Christ's ambassadors, Pastor Adedayo said Christ's ambassadors call people to reconcile with God, speak according to the direction of the Holy Spirit (not according to experience or exposure) and must be filled with the Holy Spirit to be a witness for Christ and bring forth enduring fruits.

"One of the things an ambassador must not do is to mingle with the politics of the country he or she resides. There is politics in the church and if you want to be an enduring Christ's ambassador, run away or desist from church politics," he concluded.

While delivering the welcome address, the District Secretary of CAC Testimony District, Pastor E. Olu Olorunpomi said the District has six assemblies which are CAC Chapel of Testimony, Ebutte-Meta, CAC Chapel of Testimony, Shasha, CAC Chapel of Testimony, Belgium, CAC Finger of God and CAC Eternal Praise Assembly.

He noted that the constituent assemblies were formerly under the number one District of CAC Worldwide, that is, Lagos Island District with headquarters at the Regional cum General headquarters, Ebute-Elefun.

Pastor Olorunpomi noted that unlike other places where agitations for a district status cause acrimony, it was the stakeholders of the Lagos Island District that stylishly and later strongly advised the creation of Testimony District.

He added that the District status would have happened under Christ Apostolic Church Oloto in 2008, but it would have been a major distraction from the developmental cruise on which God was taking the church.

"To my fellow ministers in Testimony District, to all members and to everyone here present, please take this advice as you continue in your service to the LORD. One day, a man approached the LORD and asked: How much is 1000 years to you? The LORD replied: 1000 years is just a minute. In astonishment he asked: How much is one millions dollars? The LORD answered: A cent. And he asked God: LORD can you give me a cent? And God said 'if only you can just give me a minute!'

"On this note, may I advise you to commit your time, talent and treasures to the service of God as expression of love. Surely, He is the of them that diligently seek Him," he concluded.

The programme had in attendance the Youth Officer of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro, Superintendent of CAC Vineyard of Mercy DCC, Pastor Anu Ojo, Superintendent of CAC Igando DCC, Pastor E. O. Ojoborun, Superintendent of CAC Life and Power Zone, Pastor Mich 'Tunji Oladapo, Superintendent of CAC Ogudu Zone, Pastor Titus Oyerinde, Pastor S.A. Ale, Pastor A.O. Olorunpomi (Rtd), Lagos DCC Secretary, Pastor Oluwatuyi and many others.
