The District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Mercyland, Abaranje District Headquarters, Lagos, Pastor Simeon Olu Abolarin has highlighted the ways to overcome lack, poverty and being a spendthrift.

Pastor Abolarin made this known on Thursday, 16th September, 2021, while giving a charge titled "Giving: Way to Shut Poverty and Lack" at the ongoing Iwere'le 2021 Power Crusade at Iwere'le town hall, Iwajowa LGA, Oyo State.

The minister said that, "I am not against prayer because the Bible says miracles cannot happen but by prayer and fasting. But there are three things that prayer cannot do. These three things are spendthrifty, poverty and lack."

"The way to overcome the attitude of a spendthrift is to obey the commandments of payment of tithes. God who created us, gave us everywhere and requests for only a ten percent of our income; and promises to rain blessings on us. Prayer cannot take away spendthrifty or devourer from your life, until you are faithful to the payment of tithes."

The cleric, who stated that being generous and helping others are means to overcoming poverty and lack, also emphasized the need to have a profitable job and occupation that the Lord can bless.

According to him, "If God will take poverty out of your live, you need to have an occupation, something definite that you are doing that gives glory to God."

The host minister and Convener of the Crusade, Pastor Festus Ayantayo Oke, led the community members in prayers to God, calling on the God of the founding fathers of Christ Apostolic Church to wrought wonders in the land of Iwere'le.

Meanwhile, members of Iwere-Ile town, Iwajowa LGA, Oyo State, have also called for a continuous and consistent revival in the town as they testify to God's touch in their lives at the ongoing crusade.

Some of the community members, while giving their testimonies, rained praises and adoration to the Almighty God for making the impossible possible in their lives since the commencement of the crusade; and they urged the organisers to allow them enjoy more of God by making the crusade a consistent and continuous one.

The Day 4 of the Crusade witnessed a larger turnout of the community members with the presence of the community chiefs and King.
