The Youth Officer, Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro has counselled youths to partner with God in their marital relationships so as to have right and perfect marriages.

Pastor Gbuyiro, gave this counsel on Thursday, 9th September, 2021, during a marriage seminar titled "Partnering with God in Marriage" at the ongoing International Youth Conference, held at Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, where he highlighted basic and practical principles on enjoying a right marital relationship.

With his background text from Genesis 2:18, the minister explained that God from the beginning, was seen seeking men to partner with Him in marriage and since then, had taken a deliberate decision about the issue of marriage.

While he pointed out that the very major fact of marriage as instituted by God, Pastor Gbuyiro furthered said that, "the intention of God for making the first man was that this man will continue to populate the earth - whether male or female. God instituted the idea of marriage. Marriage was instituted for God's purpose to be achieved on the face of the earth."

"The place of God in marriage has no substitute. Nobody can take the place of God when it comes to marriage. Your pastor cannot take the place of God, your parents cannot take the place of God, your Coordinator cannot take the place of God. The place of God is not second position."

The Youth Officer, identifying the necessity of making God central in the marriage, buttressed that, "to avoid errors into which so many have fallen today, God must be central in our plans. If God is not central, there is no assurance that you are going to get it right. Marriage was instituted by God. He did that with the aim of maintaining partnership."

The cleric, from his wealth of experience in marriage and relationship matters, highlighted two major points that every unmarried and married people should note as, marriage not being of men but of God, and the need to lay a strong foundation for the marriage.

According to him, "marriage is another divine assignment where we must focus on fulfilling the divine mandate of God. A foundation is foundational to everything a man becomes in life. You cannot go farther than the foundation of your life. Physically and spiritually, foundation is very important."

In his conclusion, Pastor Gbuyiro urged unmarried youths to deliberately seek Christ in the lives of their intended marriage partner, stating that, a partner without Christ is not fit for marriage as a vision of the future is located in the foundation of the future.
