The Minister-in-charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Itura Soyoye, Sabo District, Abeokuta, Pastor Festus Adewole Oyebade, has called for prayers to be made for the nation at the commencement of the ember months.

Pastor Oyebade made this call at the crossover service of the month of August into September held at the church premises, with the theme, "Lord, take away my Sorrow."

Explaining the text, 1 Samuel 1:9,10, the minister said that only prayer can take away sorrow in the nation and in people's lives just like it did in the case of Hannah's barrenness and other Biblical examples.

According to him, "the place of sorrow is a bad state that no one desires to meet himself or come across. Sorrow is a very delicate state that if not careful, it may sway one off his feet. It is a state of unrest and distress."

He continued that, "The only way to war against sorrow is by Prayer. When you don't pray, tribulation will conquer you."

The crossover service was characterized by powerful prayer sessions for individual lives and the nation, testimony and thanksgiving session, as well as an anointing service.
