Prayer is good, but teaching your children the Word of God and Christian morals is important, Evang. Akeredolu tells Good Women

Evang. Emmanuel T. Akeredolu

The Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Ilorin Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ilorin, Evang. Emmanuel T. Akeredolu has told women not to only pray for their children, but also teach them the Word of God and Christian morals.

Evang. Akeredolu stated this on Thursday August 19, 2021 in a chat with CAC News after ministering at the 2021 Annual Good Women Conference (77th Edition) Ikeji III, Akinyele Region.

He also told the women that, "You have to train your children in house chores. Let them know how to cook - not only the females, but also the males. I tell people that all my children know how to cook. Not only the female, but also the male. Their mother taught them how to cook. She also taught how to relate with people outside, and not just the immediate family. This is because women are more closer to their mothers than their fathers."

Evang. Akeredolu noted that before any mother can train her children, she must have a friendly relationship with them.

In his words, "Before you can train your children, you must have a friendship relationship with them. By doing that, they will be able to open up to you concerning whatever they are passing through. They will discuss their challenges with you if you are friends. Many women pray for their children but they don't train them."

"The Bible says, 'Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.' Sitting down with your children, studying the Bible together, praying together and teaching them morals is very important. By doing that, the prayer you pray for them will work. Any child that you don't train, if you pray till eternity, nothing will happen," the cleric concluded.
