Music ministers have been urged to allow the Holy Spirit take His place in order to be effective ministers and have an accepted worship.

The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele made this call in a goodwill message on Friday August 13, 2021 at 2021 Music Ministers Conference, Akinyele Region (Lagos Chapter) held at CAC Mushin DCC headquarters.

At the event, which had in attendance leaders of Music Directorate of CAC Worldwide in attendance, Pastor Oladele was thankful that "music is one of the most important vehicle for worship."

According him, "Christianity, you will agree with me, is a singing religion."

The President emphasized the importance of music ministers, stating that, "as ministers of the gospel, the requirement and the expectation of the Lord is much higher than a knowledge of music."

"Yes, we are saved by grace but we are expected to be productive Christians. We are not entertainers," he said.

Exploring Romans 8:1-9 as his point of consideration, the cleric, who is also a lover of music, identified the passage as Apostle Paul's address on "the conflict between the  flesh and the Spirit which is one conflict that is recurrent in human history."

While he explained the book of Romans as a detailed theological epistle and gave an exegetical read of his text, Pastor Oladele pointed out Paul's emphasis in the text as submission to the Holy Spirit.

He said that, "Paul is telling us here that by the arm of flesh we cannot prevail. That the only way we can be productive and live a life that is glorifying is to submit to the Holy Spirit."

"It's not about belonging to a church or being talented; it's about having an encounter with Jesus Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit,"

"As we worship, singing in hymns, it behoves on us to allow the Holy Spirit to take His place in us so that we will not only be efficient but effective," he added.

In his closing remarks, Pastor Oladele stressed verse 14 of Romans 8 where he expounded to his audience that, "the word sonship bestows upon us the right to all of God's blessings - the right to victory; the right to material blessing; the right to spiritual blessing; the right to a life that is free from the torment of Satan."

The programme had in attendance the Music Director, CAC Worldwide, Pastor Tope Dada, Assistant Music Director, Pastor Paul Bankole, Akinyele Region Music Director, Elder Bidemi Oyesanya (SAN), CAC Yaba DCC headquarters Assistant Music Director, Elder Sesan Taiwo, CAC Olorunsogo Music Director, Pastor Philip Ayeni and many others.
