A call has been made for Christian parents to lay good legacies for their children, which can attract grace and mercy for them in the future.

Pastor Festus A. Oyebade, made this call at the 2021 Anniversary of Sabo District Christ Apostolic Church Men Association (CACMA), Holy Ghost DCC, Abeokuta, held on Sunday, 22nd August, 2021 at the DCC headquarters.

Ministering on the theme of the anniversary, "A MAN OF GRACE', the Guest Minister, Pastor Oyebade, who explored 2 Samuel 9:1-8 emphasized the need to lay solid foundation and good legacies as "what we are doing today will remain a legacy for our generation".

The cleric, who is also the Minister-in-charge of Christ Apostolic Church Oke Itura, Soyoye, Abeokuta, also explained from the text, how Mephibosheth received grace from King David because of his father, Jonathan; stating that like Jonathan, our Lord Jesus Christ also came to the world to do something tangible which now transcends from generation to generation.

According to him, some of the ways to receive grace and mercy from God include, asking in prayer; staying close to God and looking upon Him; avoiding sin and being faithful to tithes and offerings.

The Minister furthered that, "in Christ alone is where grace and mercy is as whatever comes from God is the only perfect thing."

"The Bible is so simple and direct, we only need to follow its principles. Whatever you ask from God is what He will give you. Also, we must avoid sin, and be faithful to our tithes and offerings. These will attract the mercy and grace of God," he said.

Part of the service was an Undiluted Praise in remembrance of the First Zonal Superintendent of the DCC, Late Pastor J. A. D. Adeosun.
