The General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji has urged youths not to live a life they can't afford so as to avert a wounded tomorrow.
Prophet Hezekiah stated this while ministering at the just concluded 2021 Academic Summit organised by CAC Youth Fellowship held at Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU).
With a special prayer focus on the future of the students, the General Evangelist gave an exhortation to the students from Daniel 1:8 which is the textual source of the summit's theme.
Prophet Hezekiah described that Daniel had the opportunity to nice delicacies in the king's palace, but he knew they were evil in disguise.
According to him, "Daniel determined in his mind and knew that those sweet things would destroy his future." Therefore, he urged the students to have the right determination in order to secure the future.
The Prophet said that, "Your determination can ruin your life. Your determination is the tool to overcome opposition against your future. Wrong determination or decision can change the course of your destiny."
While counselling the students on the need to be concerned and think about their future, Prophet Oladeji also stated that, "Daniel saw his future and did not allow destroyers of destiny."
"He guarded his future and destiny so that the battle of captivity would not overcome him. In your various schools, don't allow vices that can destroy your future. Take your eyes away from things that will destroy your future. Don't allow the today in your hands destroy your future."
Prophet Hezekiah also noted that in order to secure the future, students must not live the life they cannot afford so as to avert a wounded tomorrow.
The Cleric urged the students to take their future seriously as all they need to become great in life is inside of them.
