It was a day of celebrating God's faithfulness when ministers and members of Christ Apostolic Church, Odi-Olowo Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Lagos, gathered to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the DCC in a grand style.
The service was held at the DCC headquarters on Sunday June 13, 2021 with the theme "Evangelism."
The Superintendent of CAC Odi-Olowo DCC, Pastor J.T. Oyeyemi told CAC News that he feels good, great, and fulfilled especially when he sees the radiation of love, unity and joy all over every member in the DCC.
He urged ministers and members of the DCC to continue to dwell in love and harmony for only in unity they can battle against the power of the darkness and every spiritual external aggressions.
The Cleric noted that the evangelism project which is the primary assignment that they're saddled with, will be made easier with the help of the Holy spirit.
On his vision for the DCC, Pastor Oyeyemi stated that;"Our general theme for this refresher course and the Anniversary is "Evangelism." My vision is to expand the kingdom of Jesus Christ and occupy till He comes. My vision is also to make sure every districts plants at least a church in a year."
He further said that;" to the glory of God, when I resumed last year, I took over during the pandemic lockdown with four districts handed over to me including the DCC headquarters. I thank God that with the help of God I've been able to manage those districts, also reconciled the aggrieved ones that had left for almost eight years and also create another new districts to the glory of God. Now we have six existing districts and four districts in the making which have just been inspected for approval by the authorities."
"Also, we bless God for the pace at which His words is penetrating the mind of His church, gaining ground to His glory every day through Bible Studytudy, Sunday School and some other means like Seminars and Refresher Course. All these achievements amongst others, are to the glory of God. Hallelujah."
On the state of the nation, Pastor Oyeyemi stated that he believes Christians still needs to come together, seek the face of the creator of heaven and earth.
"There's nothing prayer can not do. Meanwhile, there is need for our country to confess our sins, seek His face and pray to God. The prayer of the righteous is very powerful in its effect (James. 5:16)," the Cleric ended.
