A renowned Prophet and Evangelist of the gospel, Prophet Ade Ologbonyo has warned all Christians to be careful of the applaud of men which he said it's a weapon of mass destruction.
He noted that:"beware when they are telling you there’s no one like you.Beware when they are giving you this and that award. Remember how Jezebel trapped Naboth."
Prophet Ologbonyo who is the planter of Christ Apostolic Church, Boanerges Assemblies said in his write up obtained by CAC News titled "Beware of Applaud of Men."
In his exact words; "Applaud of men is a weapon of mass destruction. People can clap you to your grave.
"I remember a story of a mosquito. The small mosquito went out biting people and sucking their blood.The only thing it observed was that people were clapping for it, not knowing they wanted to kill it!
"When it returned home, he told his mother that the outing was so good as a lot of people were clapping for it.The mother mosquito shouted and said he should rejoiced that he was not killed. She then warned her child that 'whenever or wherever you see people clapping for you, you are in a trap, to be killed. Run for your life.'
"If you surround yourself with people that only clap for you and tell you all that you want to hear and no one to correct, guide and chastise you when you’re wrong, you are heading for the grave.
Beware of the clap of men!Beware when they are telling you there’s no one like you.!Beware when they are giving you this and that award. Remember how Jezebel trapped Naboth(1King21). Whatever position you find yourself, especially when you’re doing fine in your field or career, Your Glory will attract both friends and enemies.
