The newly inaugurated President of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele has described the story of his life as one of divine mercy and grace.

He therefore acknowledged God Whom He described as the Giver of every good and perfect gift and Father of all lights with whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning.

“From the prophetic circumstances of my birth in the obscure village of Alagbagba to stint house boy to the late chief Adebiyi Abeyi, former Minister of Works and later of Chieftaincy Affairs in the old Western Region, and my call into the ministry at age 14 almost 52 years ago, to this inauguration as President of Christ Apostolic Church, the story of my life is one of divine mercy and grace. Therefore, I acknowledge God, the Giver of every good gift and very perfect gift and Father of all lights with Whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning,” the President said.

Pastor Oladele stated this while delivering his speech at his Inauguration and Duty Commencement Service as the 8th President of CAC Worldwide held at All Saints’ Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Ibadan, at the weekend.

The Cleric also appreciated his parents who he said didn’t only know the Lord but also obeyed His word concerning his destiny.

“I want to thank the following people for the role they played in my life. Late Prophet Bankole, who literally prayed me into existence and gave very accurate prophecy about my voyage in destiny. I appreciate late Pastor Ale who was our Pastor in my village from 1957 to 1964. Pastor Ayegbusi is very much alive, I learnt a lot from him. Late Baba Ojedele who sought God’s direction concerning what God would have me do in life. Late Pastor J.B. Akande, under whom I developed both musically and in ministry and Baba Awe, a 96-year-old man (he is here today) who said by the time Baba Olusheye was following Babalola, he never dreamt of becoming the President of the Church and he said one day I will become the head of this Church and it’s going to be during his life time.

“I want to appreciate Late Pastor Ogundiran, my father who directed me to late Pastor J.D. Akande in 1969 and later sent me to Bible Training College in Akure. I thank all my lecturers who impacted me in the various Bible Training Colleges and Seminaries I attended at home and abroad. I appreciate all former Presidents in CAC and immediate past President, Pastor A.O. Akinosun who laid the foundation for what we are seeing here today. When I was made the General Superintendent six years ago, Baba Akinosun said I am not his candidate for the position, but he can’t do against heavenly vision. I also want to appreciate the retired General Superintendent and General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Oloye and Prophet S.K. Abiara, respectively. I want to appreciate my wife for her support and my children and their wives and grand children” Pastor Oladele noted.

He concluded: “like Paul the Apostle, we humbly request that you pray for us always and in all ways. As we look forward to the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus, I enjoin you in the word of Paul the Apostle to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”
