Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council on Wednesday December 16, 2020 gave the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun "Peace Advocate Award."
The award was given to Pastor Akinosun at 2020 Special Carol Night programme organized by NUJ at the Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
While receiving the award, Pastor Akinosun said he carries out his responsibility in the normal way unmindful of anyone watching him, but for the sake of Christ.
The Cleric who appreciated NUJ for the award urged them to always disseminate the truth.
He noted that they should continue to show the light and expose darkness irrespective of what it would cost them.
Other awardees are Presiding Bishop of Victory International Church, Rehoboth Cathedral, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, former Oyo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Abimbola Adekanbi and Managing Director, Bovas and Company Limited, Mrs. Victoria Adunola Samson.
Among the entourage of the President to the ceremony are the Director of Publicity, Pastor Ademisoye Alawode, Personal Assistant to the President, Pastor Titiloye and Barrister Anjola. Also in attendance at the programme is the former Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State Chapter, who is also the DCC Superintendent of CAC Yemetu DCC, Pastor Banjamen Akanmu.
