Christ Apostolic Church, Canaan Land, Akobo Ojuirin, Ibadan on Wednesday December 3, 2020 held Service of Songs for late Deaconess Mary Adunni Okunola.
It was indeed a celebration of a life well spent for Late Deaconess Okunola who slept in the Lord at age 75. The service had in attendance children and grand children of the late woman of valour, family, church members and sympathizers. It also had in attendance Mrs. Grace Oluboye, wife of CAC General Evangelist, Zonal Superintendent of CAC Orisun Ife Zone, Pastor J.A. Makinwa and many others.
Some of those who spoke at the programme described Deaconess Okunola as a woman worthy of emulation who didn’t only walk with Christ while on earth, but also trained her children in the path of righteousness. His first born is Mr. Marvelous Okunola who is a Personal Assistant to the General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji.
While Ministering at the programme, the District Superintendent of CAC Canaan Land, Akobo, Pastor David O. Olajide urged people not to be sad considering the good testimonies shared about the late icon.
According to him, the late Deaconess Okunola was a Prophetess of God to the core who dedicated herself for the work of God till death.
He told the children and grand children not to be sad, but be joyous because we will meet again on the resurrection day.
Pastor Olajide also said everyone has appointment with death, saying that people should be thinking of what would be said about them after death.
The Cleric said Jesus Christ will not take anyone who is not among His beloved when He comes back, urging everyone to repent from all sins.
The Burial arrangements for late Deaconess Okunola continue today with Christian Wake Service at Ada Osun State and she will be laid to rest on Friday December 4, 2002 in Ada, Osun State.
