CAC Bethel-Toronto District Superintendent, Pastor Amos Dada celebrates 65th birthday, 35 years in ministry

It was a celebration of God's goodness and faithfulness when the District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Bethel Toronto, Pastor Amos Dada celebrated his 65th birthday and 35 years in the ministry. 



No word can best describe the atmosphere of the day as family, friends and well wishers gathered to celebrate Pastor Dada at the glamorous ceremony held in Canada.



HIS BIOGRAPHY

 

Pastor Amos Dele Dada is a Chemical Engineer by training and a Preacher, Teacher, Pastor, and Evangelist by calling.  He is an alumnus of Harvard School of Divinity (2020). Prior to his calling, he got his Bachelor’s (1981) and Master’s degree (1984) from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University). He also earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Benin (1995) where he was the first to attain that feat in that University. He also did a post-doctoral research in the same field at University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 1996. From 1985 to 2001, he worked as a Process Engineer with Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC), a subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He also worked briefly as a Consultant Engineer with Sarir Refinery in Libya, a subsidiary of Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO). 



Pastor Dada attended CAC Primary School Igede- Ekiti 1961-68. CAC Modern School Ado- Ekiti 1967. CAC Grammar School Efon- Alaye 1968-1972. On gaining admission to the then University of Ife , he joined CAC Bethel since 1976- date. He started his ministry by planting a church at Effurun , Warri Delta state in May 1985.

He was ordained as a pastor twice in the two factions of Christ Apostolic Church. Firstly at the WOSEM faction in 1995 and in the main CAC worldwide under Pastor  Olusheye in 1997. 



In 2009, he became a certified General Practice Psychotherapist Counselor (GPP). He has honorary Doctorate of Pastoral Counseling (DCP) awarded from Canadian Institute of Christian Counselors, a Canadian Seminary in conjunction with The Evangelical Order Pastoral Counselor of America (EOCPC). In 2009, The United States Public Charity Organization, The Chaplain International of America (CIA) and International Institute of Pastoral Education Chaplaincy (IIPEC) commissioned Chaplain (Dr) Amos Dele Dada as a 2-Star General, and appointed him the coordinator of CIA Canada.


 

He is from Igede-Ekiti in Ifelodun /Irepodun LGA, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He migrated to Canada in 2001. He is currently the District Superintendent and Senior Pastor in charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Bethel, Toronto. Pastor Dada, a prolific writer, has authored twelve books, many playlets and articles. The books are, The Way Forward (1996), Dream Dreams and Have Dominion (1999), Destroying Curses and Evil Covenants (2003), Making the Church Relevant to the Society (2005), Understanding Principles, Power, Purpose and People of Vision (2009) and What is Faith (2013)to mention a few. He is a regular Contributor to Christendom (A Christian Magazine that is based in London, England) and Nigerian Monitor (a monthly tabloid in Toronto) and currently with Nigerian Canadian Newspaper also in Toronto. As a church planter, he has planted churches in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and India.


 

Professionally, in the field of engineering, Pastor Dada has many scholastic publications to his credit. He is a life member of Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers and American Institute of Chemical Engineers. In 1997, he became a COREN Registered Engineer, (Council for Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria). In 2007, he became a Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.



Trained in Capacity Building from Humber College and George Brown College, Pastor Dada is a community person to the core. He started Best Literacy Club in 2003 in Toronto. This homework club has metamorphosed to Bethel Group, a forum for training, counseling and mentoring the youth in the community by engaging them in an after school programme where they are taught Mathematics, English, Computer and African Drumming and Culture. For years (2005-2008), he served as the President of International Minister Fellowship (IMF) of Canada, a group responsible for pastoral training in the Greater Toronto Area. Pastor Dada is a strong and passionate advocate for the return of Biblical instructions to School Curriculum in Canada and USA as a strategy to avoid youth violence, senseless killings and impetus for a strong moral life. One of his favorite quotes is that “for youth to respect sanctity of life, the fear of God must be their watchword”. 




Pastor Dada is a humanitarian to the core. In Nigeria, he supports the poor by awarding ten scholarships annually to students in tertiary institutions and prints exercise books and distributes them free of charge to many children in primary schools annually. He is a strong advocate for good governance in Nigeria and Africa and an anti-corruption crusader.

 



Pastor Dada, a conference speaker and deliverance minister, is commissioned by God to put Canada on the spiritual map of the world. He is the Convener of International Gathering of Eagles Ministries, a para-church ministry and forum for global leadership training through conferences. He is widely traveled and has preached the gospel in over 80 nations. He holds annual conferences in Toronto and globally that attract leaders from all continents of the world and thereby affects the social, tourist and spiritual landscape of Canada positively. In 2012, he held this conference in 12 nations Canada, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana and Nigeria. The International Gathering of Eagles conference has been held in over 42 nations globally. 

Pastor Dada has planted many Christ Apostolic Churches  globally many in Nigeria, including in his hometown Igede- Ekiti, two in Uganda, one in Kenya, one in Ghana, one in India and 5 in Canada .

 

The Cleric is also the President of Canadian Institute of Leadership and Development. He is married to Eyitayo Dada, a Lawyer, Administrator, Activist, Counsellor and Motivational Speaker. They both live in Toronto Canada with their blessed children and grandchildren.
