The Minister in Charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Abundant Life Centre, Ibadan, Pastor Bosun Shokunbi has explained to ministers of God how to handle gifted people in the church.
He urged Ministers of God to see God as the giver of everything, adding that "if you do, you will not want to suppress His work if truly you are His disciple. Train them, correct their excesses and rebuke with love in private"
Pastor Shokunbi said this while ministering on the topic "Handling Gifted and Anointed People in the Church" at the 2020 Ministers' Refresher Course organized by CAC Ibadan Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ibadan.
Pastor Shokunbi further advised Ministers to teach gifted and anointed people under them and launch them out saying that Jesus did this during His time.
He also advised them to consider Philip the Evangelist who shunned complex and hostel Paul for days in his house.
The Cleric said Ministers should use gifted and anointed people in the church, not to make them redundant, give them work to do, use them in the area of their gifting and not to use them wrongly.
He also said: "when God is using them and they are bringing in blessings (money) satisfy them financially. Always pray for them with absolute purity. Jesus our Lord even called His disciples, friends. Let this gifted person know that inasmuch as he/she is important, he/she is not indispensable. It is Jesus alone that must not leave His church, anybody can do."
According to him, God wants His church to spread throughout the corners of the earth but not denominations.
Pastor Shokunbi also said that when you don't put Jesus in His place in the church, there's bound to be chaos, therefore let Jesus take the lead in everything while you (leader) follow so that others can have direction.
