The Youth Officer of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro has stated that the commemoration of the death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ which is the essence of Easter celebration should be an experience to all Christians, rather than a story.

He stated that the experience is living to please God, having appointment with God and the appointment must not fail when the time of silence (period in grave) is over.

Pastor Gbuyiro who noted this while ministering on the topic "Eternal Truth About Easter" at the Easter Sunday Service of CAC Chapel of Grace, held at one of their House Fellowship Centres said as we celebrate Easter we should celebrate what will please God.

He noted that it is not what God expects us to do we usually do whenever we read about the suffering, death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

"At times we think God is looking for a group of sympathisers who will show pity for what was done to Jesus when he was crucified. If you're doing that you are operating at the level of history. The intention of God is not to raise sympathisers. It is for us to accept the provision of salvation with gratitude. Whenever we read about His suffering and death we should not sympathize. We should accept the provision with gratitude. What happened to Jesus is the reason why we can gather. Anyone who is not saved cannot work for his salvation because it is a provision, just take it with gratitude," the Youth Officer stated.

According to him, Jesus was excited to die because He knew that it's what will please God, noting that when something bad is happening to us we should be excited if it pleases God.

He stressed that at times God can take delight in the joblessness of His son or daughter.

He added that "whatever we are going through can't exceed three days, it may not be in number as we count it, but when we believe in Him we will survive it."

Pastor Gbuyiro also stated that Jesus Christ remains the standard when it comes to pleasing God or walking with God.
