Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide on Monday February 2, 2020 held an inaugural service for pastoral ordination candidates at Babalola International Memorial Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.

Over 1700 candidates were present for the inaugural service of the training which will run till December, 2020 at Ikeji-Arakeji.

The President of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun while delivering his speech on the topic “True Discipleship” charged the would-be Pastors to portray Christ Jesus in all ramifications.

According to him, anyone who is not faithful to the assignment before him will lose the reward.

Pastor Akinosun noted that true discipleship entails holy living, faith and faithfulness, total obedience and sacrificial living.

The Cleric stressed that God holds holiness in high esteem, telling the would-be ministers that holiness is an important factor in their ministry and it is an instrument to destroy the devil.

He further stated that it is through holy living we can conquer the devil.

"In our walk with God, He wants us to trust Him. He is enough to solve all our problems. You must be faithful to God who calls you into the ministry. Anyone who is not faithful to the assignment before him will lose the reward," said Pastor Akinosun.

While delivering his speech, the Chairman of the Pastoral Ordination Committee, Pastor E.S. Famiyide appreciated God for the success recorded last year.

He also thanked God for the life of all the fathers in the Lord, the Church Authority for deeming it fit to continue and extend the compulsory pastoral ordination training programme to would-be candidates in this year's training exercise.

He told the participants that attendance is not only important but very imperative, therefore, there will be no room for impunity.

He urged them to prepare for the task ahead which is evangelism, to be courageous and resilient.

The Chairman, Logistics, 2020 Pastoral Training Programme, Pastor Gideon O. Oladokun, told the participants that it is important for them to know that their admission for the training is a divine  arrangement hence there is a need for them to display a very high-level of maturity and discipline in thought, word and conduct while in the camp and thereafter.

He further stated: "among other things you're expected to register properly, dress neatly, wear your identification tag, attend class promptly, participate in all exercises, obey all camp rules and generally conduct yourself in a responsible manner, especially in respect of your training which is the primary reason why you're here. Furthermore, I am optimistic that you will not only pass through this course, but you will internalize and put to good use the knowledge that you will acquire in this training programme."
