CAC Worldwide holds Christian Wake Service for Late Mrs. Olusheye

Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, on Monday March 9, 2020 held Christian Wake Service for late Mrs. Eunice Olajumoke Olusheye, wife of the former and late President of the Church, Pastor E.H.L. Olusheye.

The service which had in attendance all the Principal Officers of the church was held at the General Secretariat, Bashorun, Ibadan.

Other notable personalities in attendance are the Regional Superintendent of Babalola Region, Pastor J.O. Ogunwuyi; DCC Superintendent Oke-Ibukun Oke Ado, Pastor G.S. Dada; DCC Superintendent, Sanngo DCC, Pastor J.B. Agunbiade; Yaba DCC Superintendent, Pastor S.E.A. Oludare; Orisun Ife Zonal Superintendent, Pastor J. Olu Makinwa; Director of Publicity, CAC Worldwide, Pastor Ade Alawode; National Youth Officer, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro; Music Director, Pastor Tope Dada and many others. Ministers Wives Fellowship of the Church was well represented by wives of the Principal Officers of the Church and others.

While ministering at the programme, Regional Superintendent of Babalola Region, Pastor Ogunwuyi said our proximity to God or to men of God is not a guarantee that we are saved.

He said every message and revelation these days show that the trumpet can sound any point in time.

According to him, there are many people who are church members but are totally lost, saying that they need to come back to Christ.

He urged preachers to preach the totality of God to sinners, adding that "don't tell sinner about the love of God alone, tell them He is a consuming fire."

During the Testimony Session of the programme, the wife of the President of CAC Worldwide, Mrs. Akinosun said the late Mrs. Olusheye was very conscious of heaven while on earth.

She noted that the late icon always talked about heaven whenever she counseled or spoke to Ministers' Wives.

Also sharing testimony about Mama Olusheye, was Pastor Jackson Olatunji who attested to the fact that Mama always talked about the kingdom of God.

Pastor Olatunji who is a staff of the General Secretariat of CAC also said that "whenever you wanted to receive anything from Baba Olusheye and you couldn't get his attention, you would get it easily when you go through Mama because Mama knew how to present issues to Baba."

The wife of one of the children of late Mama Olusheye, Pastor Dare Olusheye said the late legend was not a mother in-law to her, but a mother indeed.

She described Mama Olusheye as a giver who could give anything she had.

"Mama Olusheye loved people even when they didn't love her. She was a woman of prayer. I knew her to be a prayer warrior even before I married her son," she stated.

The late Mrs Olusheye who was born on August 22, 1943 died on December 10, 2019 at the age of 76.
