CAC General Secretariat Staff, World Evangelical Team give Pastor Akinosun surprise birthday ceremony

It was a day of double surprises when the General Secretariat Staff of Christ Apostolic Church in Ibadan and CAC World Evangelical Team gave the President of the mission, Pastor Abraham Olukunle Akinosun a surprise birthday ceremony.



At exactly 10am, CAC General Secretariat Staff led by the General Superintendent, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, Finance Director, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde, Director of Publicity, Pastor Ademisoye Alawode, Youth Officer, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro, Marketing Officer, Pastor Adeniyi and others visited the official residence of Pastor Akinosun.



They were all seated in the beautiful sitting room expecting the President to come out. Pastor Akinosun who was just told that some people were waiting for him in the sitting room was surprised on getting to the sitting to see the people waiting for him. Immediately the President came out, he was welcomed with different well known birthday songs.



Pastor Akinosun was not only surprised, but also speechless. The General Superintendent, Pastor Oladele led the singing of Hymn 89 which people sang with a lot of joy.


After then, the President while expressing his happiness, said he was short of words.



He said apart from the one the Youth Fellowship did last year, it was when he was at the Bible College in overseas that he last received that kind of surprise birthday visit.



"When I was 50 some people said I should celebrate my birthday I said no. Some said I should celebrate it at 60 but God said to me that He's hiding me but I want to expose myself. I told those who are clamoring for it that "not yet." When I was 70 it was a tough time in CAC, but it was celebrated. I want to appreciate all the departments present here. Nobody knew I would rise to grow to be 25 years on earth. We thank God for everything, Pastor Akinosun said.



About three hours after the ceremony, the entourage of the President which include the General Superintendent, General Secretary, Finance Director, Mission Director, Pastor C.S Fasuyi, Transfiguration Zonal Superintendent who is also a member of the Management Board of the Church, Pastor E.O. Odejobi and many others left the General Secretariat for the Odo Owa grand finale of the All Nations' Holy Pilgrimage programme which is today.



On getting to Omu Aran (few kilometres away from Odo Owa), they were welcomed by the World Evangelical Team of CAC Worldwide led by the General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji. The team led Pastor Akinosun and his entourage to Bikgate Hotel for a short birthday ceremony.



The surprise glamorous ceremony was held in one of the halls of the hotel.


Seven minsters of God were asked to pray for the President which they did powerfully.


Pastor Akinosun appreciated everyone particularly the General Evangelist for the great gesture.
