The World Evangelical Outreach of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, would today Wednesday January 29, 2020 hold a programme tagged "Prophetic Gathering 2020" in memory of the first President of the Mission, Oba/Pastor Isaac B. Akinyele.
"Covenant of Our Fathers" is the theme of the programme which would hold at Oba I.B. Akinyele's House, Alafara, Ibadan from 5pm till dawn.
Speaking with journalists at a press conference on Tuesday, President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun noted that the late Oba Akinyele before being appointed as the Olubadan of Ibadanland was the Balogun of Ibadanland and it was during his time that Ibadan got liberated from the hegemonic rule of the then Alaafin of Oyo, before being crowned as Olubadan.
According to him, “persecution in the olden days was from the orthodox churches, but the 1930 mighty revival of the CAC humbled the unbelievers to the extent that they submitted all they called gods. Even, the mighty masquerades of Ibadan and the herbalists forgot to celebrate their annual festival because of the influence of that revival."
Also speaking at the press conference, the General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji said the programme is an obedience to divine directive.
He noted that the programme is specially packaged by God and it would have positive impact not only on those who partake in it, but on Oyo State and Nigeria.
