Cleric urges Ushers to imbibe 21st century ushering techniques at Akinyele Regional Ushers' Conference

The Regional Head Usher of Christ Apostolic Church, Akinyele Region, Pastor I.A. Omoyeni, has charged Ushers to imbibe and demonstrate 21st century ushering educational techniques.



Pastor Omoyeni who stated this on Saturday October 19, 2019 at the maiden edition of Akinyele Regional Ushers' Conference said church of God is now the centre and target of religion fanatics, banditries, insurgencies, the herders and the kidnappers which ushers as security of God in his house must prepare very well for, with modern day physical and spiritual equipments.



He stressed for the need to attain the premium standard in ushering ministry, saying that the significance of security in our society today cannot be overemphasized, hence the preparedness of every serious minded concerned citizens is to uphold and guard against every loophole in our society.



According to him, ushering as a security of God in His service required modern day training and logistic tools to meet up the challenges of the 21st Century.



Pastor Omoseni charged the Ushers to engage in frequent fasting and prayer for acquiring the power of the Holy Spirit.



"Ushers in all our assemblies in Christ Apostolic Church must be  united as a strong team with sophisticated detective gadgets. We must prepare to challenge and resist every odd elements. We must be gorgeous in appearance while officiating and we must be steadfast and zealous in all assignments," the Cleric said.



The Ushering unit according to him needs encouragements and support from the church Authority.



While describing who an usher is, he said “an usher is a chosen vessel among the children of God with good name and record. He must be a member of the church for at least five to six years or above and must be trained physically and spiritually on the job. He must be an able body  person, upright in all ramifications, discipline, prayerful, hardworking, bold and brave, endurable, approachable, teachable,  accommodative, patient humble, kind and hospitable. He must also have been baptized by immersion and received the gifts of Holy Spirit with reflection of its fruits in appearance and characters.”



Pastor Omoyeni noted that an usher is not only on duty every Sunday, but seven days a week.



While concluding, he said “the reward are sure for those that diligently, patiently, humbly and effectively served him in his second coming.”




The conference which was held at CAC Agbala Itura, Ile-Epo, Oke-Odo, Lagos, was well attended by Ushers from nooks and crannies of Lagos and Ogun states.
